I love my children so much. I never realized that I could love my grandchildren just as much. The same probably holds true for great grandchildren.
Love is an amazing thing. It grows as your family grows.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4

Johnson City
This is a house I designed that is being built up in Johnson city on the Pedernales river. How about a $325,000 home that is made to look 100 year old?

Home at last
We're tired of car seats!
Home at last - stretch our legs. Enough sitting in car seats to last for another year or so.
There's no place like home!

America
My views on immigration aside, a lots of folks seem confused about what comprises America. If you recall from NINTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY (yes, it's been a while), America is comprised on North, Central and South America. North America includes the main countries of Bermuda, United States, Canada, Greenland and Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Central America includes Mexico, El Salvador and Panama, to name a few. South America includes Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela, again to name just a few of its countries.
My point - the news, blogs, people I know keep saying "we need to close the American borders" or "We need to keep the illegal aliens out of America", or something like that. We BOTH live in America! Quit saying America when you mean the U.S.! Mexico is in America too and unless our Geography books change, will continue to remain in America.
'Nuf said - my pet peeve for today.

Great design
As an architect I love great design. I also love movies - especially old movies. If you ever watch old movies, one of the greatest Production Designers is (was) Henry Bumstead. He worked on several of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock & Clint Eastwood movies, and yes, one of my favorites - "To Kill a Mockingbird".
Anyway, Mr. Bumstead died on May 29th. A Production designer before the age of computer imaging. Hopefully this kind of talent will never be replaced by computers.
