Out of town

I'll be gone from this afternoon until later tomorrow, so I'm warning you in case you expect a new photo tomorrow morning. Be nice to me - I have a life besides putting pictures up on this blog. Naw!

A bad sign

The kids didn't all come together for their Easter photos. Rachel said they need an Easter Re-do.

I remember some old Easter photos of me and my sisters that still seem to haunt me as well. They seemed to pop up all over the place in my parents slides. Maybe Easter photography should be off limits.

Reading

We did a lot of reading with the grandkids - Dr. Seuss books, also "Stop that Ball", "Sam and the Firefly" and a lot of other great literature.

Chalking

My 'kids' had a great time chalking up the front sidewalk when they were visiting. Our rains have finally washed the chalk away, but the memories won't ever fade away.

What's this?

Neidon is at the age where every rock, stick, bug, leaf is fascinating! And each one needs to be shown to somebody. What a wonderful world we live in!

Gramps

Kardia and her grandpa had a lot of fun. She N-E-V-E-R stops moving when she is awake.

Always moving

It was hard to get photos of the kids sitting still. They were on the go the whole time they were visiting. They, like their visit, were indeed, sort of a blur!

This is what I've been seeing across from me every morning at breakfast! What a view.

I have them with me another day - we spent yesterday afternoon at the airport to find out that there was no way through or around Chicago. They will try to fly out today once more. No complaints from this gramps!

Great weather

It's raining today, but we've had great weather while the kids were here. They fly out later this afternoon. I'll have no one to swim with me!

The kids have been having a great time outside as it has been great weather. Grandma looks worn out.

Cindy is having a miserable time - can't you tell! Nothing better than a lap full of babies!

Yes - Cindy does have proof she was on a cruise a few weeks ago. If you look close, you can see the maid cleaning their room through the window of the ship in the background. Well - maybe!

I'll be kissing on these cheeks this evening! And I'll be kissing on the one hiding behind the chair as well - as least I don't think the chair has eyes!

Countdown ...

No, I'm not talking about the space shuttle, it already took off this morning. I'm talking about the hours until my kids get here! One more day!!

Rain in Texas

Two more days and we'll have company! The sound of little feet around the house once more!!

A rainy day in Texas so far - and lots of it. It's supposed to hit 70 today, but sure doesn't feel like it so far.

March blizzard

Rachel spent her birthday yesterday with snow - and lots of it.

When we talked to her, she said she had more memories of spending it in shorts. Brrrr!

Neidon's new bed

Cindy was worrying about the kids in our bunk beds and then we get these pictures!

I think I would have loved a bed like this as a kid - especially the slide!

That Kaireia doesn't look like our baby any more. She's not only a big sister, she's a cheer leader. I'm sure she'll teach me some cheers next week! Stay tuned!! If you've never heard of Upward - it's a great organization.

That Kardia looks great in bows. No one would confuse her with being a boy. She looks like she wants to plant a kiss on somebody - maybe a grandpa!

I seem to recall another little girl losing her boa at the coast in Oregon and us searching forever to find it. Evidently her little sister likes them too.

A good Monday Morning

It's cold, windy and rainy in South Texas this morning. A front pushed through - evidently we were enjoying the warm weather a little too much!

It appears that Kardia is in a trash can in the middle of this group. I'm sure there is some pretending going on and Kardia doesn't seem to mind - as she is included in the gang and gets to play with their toys!
