Cold in Cookeville

24 degrees out and currently snowing - another 1" projected. I walked out for the mail and it was crusty - frozen ice over snow. A great day to stay home! My house is the one with the garage door open. The others are my neighbors.

Lots of snow and ice projected today - pray Cindy gets home okay - she was to have left a couple of hours ago and hopefully home close to noon.

2 weeks old yesterday

Anna Elizabeth is growing like a weed - can you believe she is two weeks old already? It seems like she just came home from the hospital.

This little papoose is such a pretty little thing. Her Grandma Adams is going up to see her tomorrow for a week - she'll be spoiled.

Mid-week already! Off to Knoxville for a pre-bid meeting this morning with a compadre and then back as soon as possible to get work done.

Eagle Watching

It was COLD on the water, but we had 7 eagle sightings! The photos don't do the eagles justice - they were great!

We're off to Dale Hollow Lake in a few minutes for a morning of Eagle watching from a barge out on the lake - we're layered up and ready to go!

Arms are full

Everyone likes new babies! These cousins look might happy about Anna.

Supposed to hit low 40's today - woohoo! We had 248 hours below freezing!! That's over 10 days folks - my joints may never thaw out.

Baby Dedication

Anna Elizabeth was dedicated to God this past Sunday. Parents and grand-parents were all there to participate and enjoy!

Anna is not here yet = they are in the hospital and expect a new baby this evening = we'll see! I hope I can post a baby photo tomorrow.

Another bitter cold day - 10 degrees with high of 30 - woohoo! But then snow, snow and snow is forecast.

It's so cold my words froze yesterday ...

I miss the grand kids but not the snow - Cindy is enjoying both until Anna arrives.

Whereas in Cookeville a heart 13 degrees going up to 26 today - downright balmy.

Well, I decided I got food poisoning a week ago - I was finishing up some of our Y2K food and didn't realize it had a 10 year expiration date. I've never been good with remembering dates.

No grandbaby news yet - Anna is gaining all the attention she can before she joins this world! She's got some catching up to do.

I bet you I write '2009' a dozen times this week before it sinks in I'm off a year - have a great week!

I'm back ...

11 degrees here in Cookeville this morning - now that is almost cold! A non-eventful trip home, snowfall over half of the drive and 18 to 21 degrees all day. Cindy stayed behind in the 'eternal baby waiting room' at the Kleeman's house. I will probably drive back next weekend - if Anna ever decides to come!
