Summer is walking out on us

Salutations! A great weekend and fall is in the air - this week we get some rain and colder weather with some highs near 60 - brrrr.
Folks are cleaning their pools for the summer and looking toward fall -lots of leaves, punkins' and hay bales showing up everywhere.
A nice Sunday - lunch with Cindy's brother and wife - we also enjoyed seeing folks at church - a new week - we're off!

Another week gone

It's Friday - lots of stuff to do to wrap up this old week. I've a new prospect to see this afternoon, a large project to upload today for subs to quote and lots of calls and emails to write in between - in other words a lazy Friday - ha!

Got our lawn mowed last night and have a class SS class party tonight - weekends are great.

Three year flashback

Good morning - a sunny Saturday - so far.

Well, got the yard mowed last night so a mow-less weekend ahead. Enough other stuff to take over though - wow, a three day weekend!

Hope your week went well - don't they just fly by?!

Rain ahead today through Monday - we got a spot yesterday, just enough to make the grass wet and a mess to mow - oh well.

Another Sunny day

Good morning! Sunny. but a slight chance of rain ahead. Dad hopefully goes home today - they kept him another day to keep tabs on him.

My mower is back and I'm ready to get the truck back - it'll be almost a week - too many things had to be fixed. I guess at 200,000 miles anyone could be worn out.

I could use Kaireia on some of our construction projects. She may be too fast ...

Downhill slide

We got a call from my mom early this morning - dad was sick all night and they took him to the hospital this morning - pray he is okay. Thanks!

Mostly paperwork and meetings today - getting ready for a big client meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Baby it's super cold outside

A chilly morning from the Upper Cumberlands of Tennessee. Some of the higher areas might have seen some snow last night or tonight - we'll see. None here, just down right cold.

A paperwork and CAD day - lots of stuff to draw and write up. At least I'll be warm. Have a great day ... maybe today.

I'm back from Safari

Safari means trip in Swahili - I'm back and it was a great one. Learned lots of stuff and spiritually pumped up - at least for a day or two ... that's the trick, huh?
Here is my little 9 year old - thought of her brother and her folks as well yesterday. I love all of my family - those here and those awaiting us.

Almost freezing again

Another chilly morning - but I think we have some warmer weather ahead for at least a week.

Got away from work yesterday at 6pm after putting together a bid, we had Wed church and then home again. A good day.

Another huge bid today and then a clear calendar for the next week - woohoo! My desk needs clearing off and some catching up to do.

The yard needs mowing but these two hard frosts have slowed it down - the end is near. Where has this summer flown?

We're back home!

We made it back - a bit of rain on the way out of town and part of Ohio, but nice the rest of the way.

It is actually raining pretty good here this morning. Cindy came back too - we followed each other home and are glad to be our own family again.

Another fine day

Good morning - mowed last night after work, so the sounds of my neighbors mowing is pleasant. Great to have that out of the way. Getting close to the end of mowing season with the cooler evenings.

Cindy takes off tomorrow to Ohio for a few week(s) to help out - let's see when Rhiza comes.

Gotta go - breakfast, errands and Cindy needs to pack. Love you!

Another bizzzzzy day

Another brisk morning - brisk is a code word for CHILLY! We've even seen a few leaves turning - hold on, it's still September.

All local work today - mostly shuffling papers. I always thought in construction you built stuff, but you spend more time on paperwork.

Nothing new here - hope all is well with you! We skyped (video Internet chat) with Neidon last night as the kids did not have cable on his birthday due to their move. He looked great and seemed pleased - those kids are sure growing up!

Rain in the forecast

Good morning! Well, church in a few minutes - a new week ahead. Cindy returns today after church in Ohio and she will crash for a week - ha! Back to whatever 'normal' is!

No news - cut the grass yesterday and worked on the yard a bit before a light shower came through. Warm again, ready for fall to return once and for all.

A great time at church tonight! But awfully quiet here with the gang gone. Cindy comes back this weekend - maybe she can rest up from weeks of grand-kids. But that is not to be taken as a complaint - oh the fun those kids are and what joy they bring to our lives!

Thankful for Thursday

Good morning - where has this week gone?!

Mom and Dad came by yesterday while I was at work and Cindy and Kaireia got to visit for awhile. I get to see them this weekend at Brian's wedding.

No news - paperwork this morning, a business luncheon and Monterey this afternoon to see a client's project.

We're home - a great convention, but I feel like I stood for two straight days. Cindy and Kaireia did a lot of stuff while I worked; and we all went to the aquarium yesterday after I finished at the convention.

Back to work today - I don't want to see what my desk looks like! Here I come!

Good morning! Pray for my folks as they fly off to Maui today. Pray for safety and health as they travel and enjoy a few weeks of sunshine.

A week until Thanksgiving - I'm thankful for my children and their spouses. God has truly blessed us here. I love them and the way their hearts are turned toward God. Thank you God.
