Beautiful day ahead

Good morning - let's get going, burning daylight!
We mowed last night - but no one to help me drive the mower. Cindy and I are ready for cooler weather to slow this old grass down from growing so much.
Hope your day is great - love you!

Another visitor

Greetings - we've got Neidon visiting for a week or so. He got here in time to go to the county fair with us last night.
This morning we did a fund-raiser walk for MADD of Tennessee, got home mowed and finally crashing- woohoo!
God is good!

Warm weather - woohoo!

A beautiful day here - sunshine and warm weather - a great combination.
We had a guest speaker at church today and I went out after church to lunch with him and his wife and my minister and his family. A great visit and a fun time!
Cindy is still spoiling family in Ohio and she returns Tuesday - hope my mess isn't too bad!
Well, sorry my Spurs are out of the play-offs, but it was fun while it lasted. Now what do we watch?

Have a great week - looks like a good one coming up.

I'm back

Good morning - I got home around 11:30 last night - a long day as we were up a t 5 am and working at the conference by 5:45 am - yawn.

Off to breakfast in a bit and back to mow - the yard is TALL. I'm going to crash a bit today too!

What a storm!

Good morning - wow, we had a thunder storm last night that felt like all of the lightning was in our back yard. Sure hard to sleep though that!
Had a great talk with my 'great' aunt Martha last night - isn't family great!
No news today - just more paperwork - looks like lawn mowing start tonight - my neighbor has already mowed about 4 times - oh well ...
Have a blessed day.

Chilly Sunday

Good afternoon - a great day at church and lunch with some church friends - back home for some work paperwork to get done and back to church by 4 for meeting.
Cindy knocked on tons of doors yesterday - politickin' is hard work - especially when your district is so wide and most homes are rural.

The San Antonio downtown Mall on the river

Good morning - well, so far we've missed the snow - the warning is in Cookeville until 6 pm - hmmmm.

You can see we enjoyed the River Walk Mall in San Antonio - of course we had to eat at the food court and then see the Imax version of the Alamo before we saw the real thing.

We had to edumacate that girl!

Everyone is home again

Greetings - did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? My folks are still in Florida, but Reed's family made it back home from Oregon and Rachel's family made it back home from here. Even Cindy's brother and sister-in-law made it back from St. Louis.
We enjoyed kith and kin - those kids are growing like weeds and we enjoyed them. Yesterday we put up stuff and cleaned and crashed - family takes a lot out of these old geezers! Have a great Sunday!!

Company a-comin'

Thanksgiving 2012
Greetings - this is my last post this week - we've got company coming and I think Kaireia will take over my office this week. I pray you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving - we all have so much to be thankful for! Did you know that if you make over $20,000 you are in the top 5% of the world in regards to income - we are rich! And we have been poured out with God's grace abundantly - we are rich indeed!

Cough ... cough ... cough

Good morning - I'm tired of fighting this allergy cough - please just push the yucky weather past and move on! Maybe the projected rain tomorrow will help.
I've a huge bid due today - I pray the subs turn in their bids on time and accurately - we'll see - ha!
Do you have a big day ahead? Praying this morning God reminded me of Abraham and Sarah where they rushed God's promises. Let's listen to God's plan today - it's always better.

Ready to crash

We just got home - church, Sunday school, church, lunch, reception for minister candidate and now home again- whew! Would someone hold me so I can nap? Please?

A front is coming through with rain and the temperature is dropping - coming home from church we saw all the leaves were dropping like crazy off the trees and it looked 20 degrees colder than it really was. This week is to start with highs only near 70 - woohoo!

Have a blessed week!

Mid-week once more

Well, our lawn needs mowing but we keep having stuff in the evenings - tomorrow is the night so get ready lawn. The evenings are cold enough it's really slowed down.
We're having beautiful fall weather now - high 70's to low 80's in the day and high 40's to mid 50's at night. Trees are beginning to turn, punkins' coming out, mums and fall plants are out - might nice.
Have a great day!

I'm back!

I tried to get on yesterday but our cable and internet were down. Evidently about 1/3 of Cookeville was without power yesterday morning from 5 am to 9 pm - did you know how hard it can be to get to work if the traffic lights are out?
The little boy Caleb I've asked you to pray for has gotten a new heart this week! Click here Thank you Lord!
We're still having cool evenings and nice days - leaves are turning - fall has arrived!

Today's question - what year was this photo taken?
