Appalachian Trail

They walked on a part of the Appalachian Trail. It's only a short walk off of a main path to get there, yet no one seems to check it out. Anna is a serious hiker.

We're home!

We had a great time with the kids - the blurry photo is some bears we saw by the side of the road. At least two adults and 4 cubs - maybe more but they were moving and the traffic was all jammed up to watch - woohoo!

I was asked recently if leaves are turning colors yet - these photos are from the Smokies several weeks ago.

A rainy day

It rained last night and has rained so far this morning - leaves are turning and I saw a field full of pumpkins this week getting pretty big. I had to swerve to miss a load of hay a farmer dropped in the road up the street and I sat in my truck in traffic behind a high school float on Thursday. It must be FALL in Tennessee.

We walked 1.3 miles at a sharp incline and then a tower at the end for .... a fogged in view! It was cold too!!

These short work weeks sound good, but you're just fitting 5 days of work into 4 days.

Our views were from good to none at the park. Temperatures ranged from 80 to about 55 degrees. What fun!
