Cooler weather

Good morning - we've been having cool evenings and not too hot days for the past week - very pleasant.  Well, home alone again - no grand-kids, family or in-laws - if you're bored, come on by!

A good week behind us and looking forward to another one ahead.  Can't believe September is upon us.

Time to paint

Good afternoon! Here is a photo of Reed painting his home - the old paint has been affected by the sea salt air too long and turned dull and grey - let's see how a new brighter color fares!

A great week ahead - here is a recent quote I read in a book by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield as she wrestled with God - "The worldview conflict was this: I went from being someone who felt that I was responsible and entitled to interrogate the Bible to someone who believed that the Bible had authority over my life and therefore had the responsibility and entitlement to interrogate me."

Sleepless in Tennessee

Greetings - it's been an extremely busy year for us so far this year. I think we've another couple of months and maybe we can get back to some form of normalcy.

Cindy is on the budget committee for the County Commissioners which will add a meeting or two a week for the next month or more to her already crazy schedule. I'm now the secretary of the local Republican party - for this county and I also got placed on the county's election Commission - and was made chairman in the past week as well.

Fortunately, we're about to wrap up our weekly classes with the Sheriff's department in two more weeks so we'll get back one night a week plus I'm done teaching on Wednesday nights at church until at least this fall.

Well, Galen and Charlotte are gone - they've officially moved to Florida this week - we were blessed to have them spend a couple of nights with us before they left (unfortunately we had meetings both nights) but we did get to visit some with them before they took off.

 We've been so busy at nights, I ran home on Wednesday so we could mow our yard at lunch - now that's some fun!

Well, better go - sure miss you all and pray your week is going fantastic!

Whew ...

 Good morning - another crazy week - we've another 6 to 8 weeks of this before it backs off. I had three pre-8am meetings this week out of town, 3 evenings meetings, an all day session today and next Saturday, and next week is like this week - evening and morning meetings as well as a work day - hold on, this phase will pass!!

A cold rainy day here - about 50 which seems like a heat wave, but the rain feels might cold.

Back to normal ....

Well, a quiet Saturday at home - that hasn't happened in weeks and weeks. Off to breakfast in a bit, a few errands and then home to review tomorrow's lesson for church and CRASH!

We're back

Good morning - we got home Saturday evening and had a great Thanksgiving with Rachel and her family. Good to go and good to be home again.
It's December already -  this year has flown with lots of changes - I think that's good - love you all!

Rainy Monday ...

Good rainy morning - another wet day in the upper Cumberland. Our lawn has been officially designated as a wildlife preserve. I'd love to send some rain your way for just a few days so I can get the lawn mowed.
Trying to stay in town all week - lots of paperwork and lots of projects kicking off so need to get those going.
Cindy's campaign kicked off again this past weekend - some door knocking and lots of talking with future constituents!

Sunshine ... and rain

Greetings - starting off sunny this morning but rain on the way. Sorry for not a lot of photos this week - my schedule just seems messed up now. Lots of projects both in the design stage and the construction phase - I sold over $4,000,000 last year and this year seems to be on track for that again - no wonder I'm always tired! But 'ain't' God good!

Gotta go - breakfast out, mow and politikin' - hang on Saturday, we're a comin'!

Sunshine on a Saturday

Good afternoon - we've run a few errands and have a great day so far. Lunch in a bit and maybe check out a local park and just enjoy a beautiful day. No more snow!!

Greetings - what a miserable weather day - okay, now repeat ... "I will be content in all things" ... ok, I still don't enjoy the cold but at least I remember who's in control.

Funeral and graveside

 Saturday were the funeral and graveside in the mausoleum - always a joy to see family even in the midst of sorrow.

Gotta go - elder's meeting this afternoon - love you all.

Well, back to work - can you believe we are already in December? In just a couple of weeks we're heading out to Texas for almost two weeks to visit family and friends - we're putting our request in now for some warm weather.
A good but busy week ahead - Our church has a float in the Cookeville Christmas parade tonight - tomorrow Somerset, KY- Friday a huge bid due and then off to Nashville and back Saturday. So hang on, we're off and running!

Good morning mateys - today is my easiest day this week - I'm already sorry I said that. No client meetings and no deadlines today - tomorrow and Friday - that all changes ...

Earlier this week they said about 70 today - now the high is projected closer to 67 or 68 with lots of rain tonight. I'm coming back as a weather man ...

Good morning - it's the icky time of year - dark when I get up and dark when I leave work - how did that happen so fast? And it's rainy today too? Yuk.
Meetings and paperwork today - woohoo! What's God got planned for us today? I'm ready to find out - let's go!

Weather alert

Greetings - foggy out this morning - I can barely see the neighbors house. We're supposed to heat freezing in the evening by the end of the week - that's down right cold!
Lots of paperwork this week - no travel plans yet but I'm sure that will change.

I'm back!

I tried to get on yesterday but our cable and internet were down. Evidently about 1/3 of Cookeville was without power yesterday morning from 5 am to 9 pm - did you know how hard it can be to get to work if the traffic lights are out?
The little boy Caleb I've asked you to pray for has gotten a new heart this week! Click here Thank you Lord!
We're still having cool evenings and nice days - leaves are turning - fall has arrived!
