Summer dreams

Well, the cold weather has been great - I'm ready for summer again.

Oh well, at least we can remember how much fun it was.

Have a wonderful day - somehow, I feel a bit redder today. The guy in the office next to me is now a state rep!

Uncle Reed

I love this photo of Reed holding Kaireia. She is a few days old and this is the day of Kairou's viewing. Reed is a great uncle.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Kardia and Jaidyn are getting all excited about Christmas, as you can see.
Oh well, maybe not, but wail until next year!

A visit to Kairou's grave site

The kids got to go by Kairou's grave site when they were in Missouri. They got him an Ohio banner as you can see between Kaireia and Neidon.

I Thess 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Cousins

Jaidyn and Kardia getting to know each other. Jaidyn is Casey and Rachel Kleeman's daughter and, of course, Kardia is Darin and Rachel Kleeman's daughter. Casey and Darin are brothers and both of their wives have the same name - Rachel. It's clear now, right?

Stocking Stuffers

I like the surprises in my stocking as much as what is under the Christmas tree. How about you?

A little younger

Here is an early photo of Kaireia with her umbrella she was using in Tuesday's photo. Thought you'd like to see how she has grown!

Having fun

Of course, I might enjoy the rain more if someone wanted to play in the rain with me.

Tuesday morning

Well gang - it's another day and it sure looks like rain again. It thundered off in the distance a lot last night and yesterday afternoon we had more rain as well. We're pretty water logged right now.

Here is Kaireia from a few years ago. Our little sweetheart and clothes artist.

August 2004

Kaireia is tickled pink to see her family in a few short days.

She has sure grown since this photo.

Tonight we're going to a pro-life banquet with my folks and the main speaker will be Alan Keyes. Be sure to ask me about it later.

This is an oldie - Kaireia with friends. One in the background and one in her arms don't get them confused.

Another oldie

Kaireia - "Uncle Reed, can't be play on the Nintendo or play Bridge or Euchre?"

Reed - "Let me finish coloring this picture first and then maybe we can play Candyland, it's one of my favorites."

Ohio just in time

A cult? A fall festival gone bad? In Missouri too long? A cover-up for a bad hair day?

You be the judge.

3 years

It's hard to believe Kairou has been gone three years. And then we look at Kaireia and realize what a blessing we have.

I don't know God's ways but I trust Him.

Have a great weekend!
