Catch up Saturday

Greetings - well, the end of another great week. We had to drive to Knoxville yesterday for a graduation at Johnson Bible College of our minister's daughter - and our 2 hour drive turned into about a 4 hour drive with traffic, wrecks and road construction. We were 10 minutes late to a graduation that we thought we'd be there hours early.
Slept late, breakfast at home by my star cook and now catching up on some paperwork. A great day ahead.
You all have a blessed day - Happy 4th birthday to Lincoln!!

Whew ...

Good morning - another crazy week - we've another 6 to 8 weeks of this before it backs off. I had three pre-8am meetings this week out of town, 3 evenings meetings, an all day session today and next Saturday, and next week is like this week - evening and morning meetings as well as a work day - hold on, this phase will pass!!

Have a great day!

It's December already -  this year has flown with lots of changes - I think that's good - love you all!

60 degree morning

Good morning! Starting off nice and cool this morning - we got down in the 50's last night and it's still only around 60 degrees - woohoo - feels great.

Trying to keep up at work - feeling a bit overwhelmed right now - lots going on.

We missed the local fair this year - too much going on in our life - go figure!

Have a blessed day - remember, God is in charge!

More rain ...

Good afternoon - a great time at church and now home. Well, it rained most of yesterday and all day today so far - the lawn begs me to cut it but the rain has stopped that!
We're in the hot and humid days of summer - but you won't catch me wanting colder weather!!

Have a blessed day - God is good!

Rainy, rainy night

Good morning - lots of rain last night - we're down in the 60's, for awhile at least. We've had lots of humidity recently.
I got two design contracts yesterday for large homes and a contract for work at my zinc plant - woohoo - God is so surprisingly amazing at times. Thank you Lord for all of your blessings - I pray that I recognize them as being from you and always give you the glory!
Have a blessed day - love you all!

Good afternoon - we've run a few errands and have a great day so far. Lunch in a bit and maybe check out a local park and just enjoy a beautiful day. No more snow!!
Here's the whole gang - we're a party unto ourselves!

It's allergy time again ...

Greetings - we've had lots of rain and it's a bit warmer so the plants and trees think spring is a coming. Of course, my allergies think the same thing - I welcomed Cindy back with a night of coughing and allergy symptoms - she just thought she was going to get rest after being with the kids.

I'm off to Crossville this morning and a couple of other meetings today - we're off and running!

It's Friday .. wrap up the paperwork ...

Good morning - we had a late basketball game last night and got home around 9:15 or so - of course Tech won so it was even more fun!
Paperwork this morning and Rockwood this afternoon - visiting a zinc plant and turn in some quotes.

Have a great day - the weekend is upon us!

Funeral and graveside

Saturday were the funeral and graveside in the mausoleum - always a joy to see family even in the midst of sorrow.

Gotta go - elder's meeting this afternoon - love you all.

2  a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4  a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Everyone is home again

Greetings - did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? My folks are still in Florida, but Reed's family made it back home from Oregon and Rachel's family made it back home from here. Even Cindy's brother and sister-in-law made it back from St. Louis.
We enjoyed kith and kin - those kids are growing like weeds and we enjoyed them. Yesterday we put up stuff and cleaned and crashed - family takes a lot out of these old geezers! Have a great Sunday!!

52 degrees and foggy

Starting off a bit chilly this morning - I'm on so much allergy medicine I'm sleeping pretty hard so if a storm rolled though after I went to bed I missed it.
We did get a lot of rain yesterday and some thunder - around 9 pm or so it dropped about 15 to 20 degrees within minutes as a storm rolled though.

Nashville and Lebanon today - meeting a few folks and just getting the week kicked off - let's roll!

fRIDAY - oNCE mORE ...

Have you ever wondered why they capitalize the first letter in the sentence? Why not capitalize everything else? Just a thought.
Well, it's Friday and a good but long week - mowed the lawn last night as rain in the forecast today - we could hear thunder most of last night too.
A hard bid due today and lots of paperwork - here we go!

Great day ahead

Good morning from the Upper Cumberlands of middle Tennessee!
If you've ever driven through Tennessee from Nashville to Knoxville, you've driven right by us on highway 40. This is a beautiful part of the state. Cookeville only has 30,000 residents, but being the county seat, about 100,000 work here every day. AND, we're closer to the grandkids - hey, it's win win!

Another paper-work day

Sunshine - hey, it's light already. I'm used to getting up in dark light and leaving with overcast skies. Looks to be a grand day today. Yesterday we hit 50 and my jacket was even to warm - woohoo!

We went to the monthly Putnam County Republican Party meeting last night - interesting to say the least.

Still getting good leads - market soft but we're seeing more calls and more stuff starting to get going. Let's pray the President just leaves us alone and the economy can get going again. (PS God is really in control!)

Baby it is super cold outside

Okay, so it's only 30, but hey - it feels colder! High of 40 and then closer to 20 tonight and another chance of snow this afternoon. Weird weather - thanks Al Gore!
I'm meeting with a new prospect this morning, a lunch meeting with 45 business folks today - I'm 1/3 of the way as the group president and counting down already - ha! And a major bid due this afternoon - we've already bid around $50 million of work this year.
Gotta go - love those kids!!

Asher's dedication at church

Good morning this freezing and rainy morning - not a good mix! Fortunately I'm inside most of the day, but lots more rain ahead.

Well, Cindy is up for vote tonight as the Putnam County Republican Party Vice-Chairperson - pray for God's will. I think she'd do a good job, but I'm slightly prejudiced.

No big news - I'm off - be safe!

Hey - look over here - woohoo!

Kaireia, Neidon, Kardia and Darin
Well, mowed the yard AGAIN ... I don't like the pattern we're setting with mowing every 4 days. Let's see if we can stretch it to Saturday now.
No big news - you probably saw Kentucky won last night in men's college bball. What happened to all of my teams?
Gotta go - work calls - love you!

Dragging into Monday

Darin and Rachel at Kingsway CC
Good morning you all! A new week ahead - I already smell the paperwork with my super sniffer. I like flowers better.

Odds are high we mow tonight - that will teach me to fertilize so well.

I am sure proud of my kids - they are a blessing to me. Thank you God!
