SNOW! Well, not much ...

A light dusting of snow overnight - more projected today too - it's the cold that is miserable - brrr.

You might think that Cindy spent Rachel's visit holding grand-kids ... you're right! I tried my best to keep up - a hard task.

Got three bids out yesterday and the fourth got postponed - a nice relief. Much needed paperwork catch up today and my weekly luncheon with 45 other business professionals. Today will fly by!!

Snow ahead

Good morning - 3 to 4 days of snow projected - probably not much, but quite a change after all of the warm weather we've been having in the 50's.
Enjoyed the annual Chamber of Commerce meeting last night - the new Tech president spoke and was pretty interesting - however a one hour speech from 7:30 to 8:30 after a long day at work is hard to keep focused on. He does have some exciting things in store for the college though.
Four bids due today - should prove interesting - fortunately 2 are pretty small and 2 are rebids - still a lot of work.
Well, gotta go - work calls - have a great day.

My grandchildren are a blessing

The little boy we know (Caleb) that needs a heart thought he had one Sunday and then they found found out the heart that was to be the donor was too damaged to re-use. His family could use your prayers right now - please pray for Katie and Daniel Kinnaird.

Woohoo - it's Monday!

   Okay, I'm not that excited it's Monday, but I do enjoy me job. Lots to do this week - design, pricing, contracts - this week will fly!

    A chance of snow before the week is over - not good as we're seeing stuff blooming out already.

    Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Off to church

 Church in a few minutes - looking forward to seeing friends and hearing a great message. God is good.

We had such a great time with the kids. Yesterday was way too quiet with just the two of us again. I can walk across the floor without stepping over stuff but it's sure not as much fun.

Gotta go - isn't Rhiza a beauty! "Muy bonita!" Her grandma is pretty nice too.

Home alone

Our babies are gone- quiet on the home front. No breakfast buddy this morning. We actually have a routine again. But did we have fun! Have a wonderful day.

Rain, rain, rain ...

 A bit cooler today and yes ... rain.
I am so far back in paperwork my head is spinning - not a pretty sight! Today I need to attack it big time and make some sort of a dent in it. The trouble is I've got 5 major meetings to squeeze in yet this week and the guy who offices beside me is also partnered with me on several projects and he has been out now over a week after an operation. Remember, God is in control, God is in control, ...

Kids coming in tomorrow - woohoo! Looking forward to spoiling, I mean playing with them. Have a good day and be safe.

Sunshine ahead

A good morning to you all! Sunshine is forecast today with low to mid-50's. Summer is almost back. Of course Saturday we return to the 30's and a high chance of snow again - welcome to the Cumberland Plateau.

The Kleeman kids and their mom are coming Thursday to spend a week with us - Cindy has gone from cleaning to 'company coming' cleaning. We are going to have us some fun!

Church coming up ...

Good morning! We're under wind alerts and I just noticed that Gruene has a tornado alert out too - be careful out there - that's our kind of weather!

Two great Tech basketball wins last night - both the women's and men's team looked great - what a lot of fun. It was interesting that in the men's game a technical was thrown and then both the opposing coach and ass't coach were ejected - they had us shoot 8 free throws - never saw that many before. It kept the crowd lively - ha!

The weekend has arrived

We're off to breakfast in a few minutes, a few errands and then home again with a couple of 'to-dos'.
A bit of rain today and hopefully high 40's - another nice week and then cooler next weekend. I'm ready for spring!

Good morning - a rainy overcast morning, but this picture makes me smile and lights up my life. Rhiza and Kaireia are mighty good looking in this photo - I love their boots and Rhiza's knees are as wrinkly as mine!

Bids this morning and client meetings this afternoon - another fast old day - hang in there, it's almost over with.

Rain ahead

We've a wee bit of rain projected for today - but still warm, so we'll take it. Also, I'm mostly inside today tied to my paperwork; so I like it bad outside when I'm stuck inside so I'm not feeling like I'm missing anything. Make sense?

I'm having grand-baby withdrawal - haven't seen any of them for a month. What's a grandpa to do? I guess just enjoy photos of them instead!

Another paper-work day

Sunshine - hey, it's light already. I'm used to getting up in dark light and leaving with overcast skies. Looks to be a grand day today. Yesterday we hit 50 and my jacket was even to warm - woohoo!

We went to the monthly Putnam County Republican Party meeting last night - interesting to say the least.

Still getting good leads - market soft but we're seeing more calls and more stuff starting to get going. Let's pray the President just leaves us alone and the economy can get going again. (PS God is really in control!)

A regular day ahead

Well, we finished our bid last night at 6:30pm. I'm hoping today is a regular old paper-work day. I need to clean up a few piles so I can see my desk again.

Yesterday we went to the funeral of a friend from church - she was only 53 and cancer had gotten ahold of her. What a beautiful funeral service. It's always good when Christians die and have led a Godly life - great testimonies and a wonderful atmosphere. Her husband was a fireman so I think every fireman within a 30 mile radius came with full uniform and all of their fire trucks - pretty cool. Rest in peace Pat!

Warmer week ahead

Good morning - a huge bid due today and a funeral tucked in mid-day as well. Today will fly by.

Our interim minister is working out well - good attendance and a fine sermon. God is good.

We're to get up in the 50's this week and a spot or two of rain. It's too early for spring so we're just being teased a bit.

Crafts are fun!

A good morning to you all! Sunny and cold outside - they're projecting snow this morning but I think they're wrong. It's too clear out, it would have to roll in pretty quick - looks like a nice day ahead.
A friend at church passed away on Friday so we have a viewing today and a funeral tomorrow - that old cancer is sure an evil thing. Other than that, not much going on today - enjoy church and give the devil a thumpin'.

Snow ...

Well, decided to stay home for breakfast - not worth taking a chance right now as it's coming down pretty hard - it's pretty from in here - not so pretty if we have to go out later.

You all stay warm and safe today - we're already up to 25 degrees which is higher than yesterday's high - now where did I put those shorts ...

First day of February

Good morning! 18 degrees here and snow on the ground - it is still snowing but mostly light flurries. More projected tomorrow.

Another week gone by - a hard but good week as usual. I pray yours went well also.

We're warming up to 30 today - hopefully the roads aren't too bad - you all be safe out there today!
