Good afternoon - a beautiful sunny yet cool day in the Upper Cumberlands. Just came in from enjoying being lazy on the back deck for awhile. I hope your week went well - looks like nice weather ahead and continued cooler here - Cindy only has about 10 days before heading off to Oregon - our newest grand-daughter is almost here. Love you all!

Chilly Sunday

Good morning - a great service today at church - back home for a few hours and then return to church again.
Only 60 degrees as the high today and the same most of the week - maybe our last cool spell?

Hot humid Sunday

Good afternoon - we had a great time at church this morning - we're home alone - no one is with us - wow, extremely quiet here!

A good and busy week ahead - hold on, we're off!

Remember the Alamo

 Good morning - wow, another Friday! Where in the world did that week go to? Snow missed us again but it sure is dog-gone cold!
Here are some of our photos from the Alamo visit - always an amazing site - now there were some heroes!

The San Antonio downtown Mall on the river

 Good morning - well, so far we've missed the snow - the warning is in Cookeville until 6 pm - hmmmm.

You can see we enjoyed the River Walk Mall in San Antonio - of course we had to eat at the food court and then see the Imax version of the Alamo before we saw the real thing.

We had to edumacate that girl!

 

Great grandparents

 Greetings - it's 54 out, we've got us a heat wave - need to sit on the deck and soak up some rays!

You can see Kaireia got spoiled by her great-grandparents too. I think she had fun with us over the holidays. She's learning some Texas ways.

We're back!

 Wow - almost 3,000 miles and 11 states later we're back home and exhausted. I'm catching up on stuff and getting ready for work tomorrow - Cindy is on her way to meet Rachel and return Kaireia - they all sounded homesick for her!

Watch for more photos the coming days - we saw a lot of family, friends and had fun, fun, fun.

All I can say is - the Alamo will never be the same!

Good morning - it's the icky time of year - dark when I get up and dark when I leave work - how did that happen so fast? And it's rainy today too? Yuk.
Meetings and paperwork today - woohoo! What's God got planned for us today? I'm ready to find out - let's go!

Cooler weekend

Good morning - sorry I missed yesterday - had to be somewhere early for a meeting - back on track today - why is life so busy!!
Mom and Dad visited recently and Cindy went hiking with them at a local state park - notice the water falls behind them? We had a great visit!
No news today - same old - hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go ...

A good day ahead - God is so good - it doesn't mean that I don't feel overwhelmed at times, but God is as close as you let Him. Count on him to get you through your own circumstances.

Hi ho hi ho ...

It's in the 50's - I thought it was summer? Maybe the county fair coming into town made ole Mr. Summer think his time was up? We're not quite ready for summer to leave yet.

Another week ahead - wow, kind of a 'deja vu' moment. Hard to believe we're almost into August!!

We met our church's minister prospect last night and his family - so far so good - God, we're waiting on you to decide ...may our eyes be open to Your guidance!

Sunshine ahead

A good morning to you all! Sunshine is forecast today with low to mid-50's. Summer is almost back. Of course Saturday we return to the 30's and a high chance of snow again - welcome to the Cumberland Plateau.

The Kleeman kids and their mom are coming Thursday to spend a week with us - Cindy has gone from cleaning to 'company coming' cleaning. We are going to have us some fun!

Wedding Bells

Greetings - Fall is definitely in the air - we hit the mid 40's last night for the first time this season. We're beginning to see a few trees turn colors too. Frost on the punkin' season.

This is from Brian's wedding - that is my folks on the right with me and Cindy behind. My sister to the right of Brian and all of her gang on the left plus Kaireia tucked in there. It was a nice wedding.

Church in a few minutes and then Cindy takes off for points north. It's baby time! Have a blessed week.

It's freezing out!

A chilly 28 out this morning but supposed to hit 50 today - we'll see as they said that yesterday and it never made it. At least no snow - a dry day so far.

A hard bid due tomorrow morning, so I'll be working with a team of 8 to 10 folks today getting that ready as we pore over 400 or 500 bids that have already started coming in. I know how to have a fun time!!

Well, we got the yard mowed yesterday before the rain began - what a great day to stay inside, watch basketball and relax by the fireplace.

Saw this crazy looking group of folks at Gruene Hall when we were in Texas. Thought there would be some singing group there - was I surprised.

Another grand time in Texas! But it sure feels great to be home again. I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work - lots of great things going on.
