Some days you eat the bear ...

Greetings - another fine day - a bit chilly but we packed a lot into it.

Church, lunch with Galen and Charlotte, a quick trip home, open house in the afternoon at the President of Tennessee Tech's home,  a Tennessee Tech basketball game - back home again, time on the elliptical and ready to relax - woohoo!

Two more weeks and then a whole lot of down time - can't wait - but until then hang on!

A front rolling in

Good morning - a front is coming in and we're gonna see cooler temperatures and some rain for a few days.

Our hummingbirds are about gone for the summer - fall will be here before we know it.

Today is another grand paperwork today with moments of sheer terror dropped in amidst everything and shaken up - will, not exactly but I had to spice it up a bit!

May God bless you on this Thursday!

Wild animals

Good morning - a large chance of rain the next few days - we could us some for sure.
Wow - yesterday was like two Mondays rolled into one - wouldn't want many of those.
So how is your work/life/school going? I pray God is blessing you - life is too good not to enjoy it.

Psalm 128 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord, that walketh in His ways. For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands; happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house, thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LordThe Lord shall bless thee out of Zion, and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Rainy Sunday

Good afternoon - we've had a great day at church and we're now home ... alone!
A fun week with the kids - man, do they have a lot of energy!
We're getting some much needed rain right now as I watch the Indy 500. I don't feel guilty about not being outside - probably wouldn't anyway.

Rain, rain and more rain

Good morning - after breakfast and after it stops raining, we're going to ... politick! Woohoo! At least Cindy is meeting lots of folks - some amazing folks in this district.

Well, a great week but I think my desk piles grew this week instead of shrunk - oh well, there's always next week.

Psalm 19:7 (NIV)

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.

Thankful for Thursdays

Salutations - I've been seeing a lot of folks in November writing a daily item on Facebook that they are thankful for - sure nicer than some of the stuff people post! So, what are you thankful for as we approach Thanksgiving?

Have a blessed Thursday!

1 Corinthians 1:4-5 (NIV)

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—

Pot-luck Sunday

We're having a pot-luck after church today to honor the minister who has filled in for us this past year as we've searched for a minister. He has been a real blessing - unfortunately, we can't keep him.

Have a great day today - prepare to be blessed!

Philippians 4:11-12

11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
