Got to see my folks and Sandra yesterday after work. They left, we mowed the yard and today we leave to Ohio after work - woohoo.

Greetings - our Internet was out all day yesterday - went out early and can back on this morning after the power went off and on. Grrrrrr.

Anyway, Internet back and Indy 500 set up on the DVR - life is good.

A long weekend

Greetings everybody. My folks were here for a few short days - it was great seeing them. Once a year isn't enough.

A long weekend coming up for most of you - have a good one and be careful - Monday will be insane with everyone going home again so drive safe.

Everything still blooming

I've never know it to rain so much and have everything grow so much. We just cut our grass last night - only 3 days since we cut it and it was tall! These photos are from the Biltmore gardens.

It wasn't easy getting up this morning - could have slept in pretty easily. Oh well, I'm up now.

Mowed the yard last night between rains - I think I had enough to bale! Will need to mow again by Saturday most likely. Lots of rain and a bit cooler.

Biltmore Greenhouse

I've been thinking of building a little greenhouse like this in my back yard. Hmmm... I may need to buy the lot next door.

Neidon made up his own variation of Hopscotch - foot outlines instead of boxes. He seems to be enjoying it.

Biltmore details

From Gargoyles to gardens to beautiful surrounding scenery, the Biltmore is stunning. We're already looking forward to going again.

My little Easter bunny

Here is something even more spectacular than the Biltmore. We talked with them on the video cam last night and sure enjoyed seeing them all. You all have a wonderful Friday.

Biltmore Stables

Even the stables were nicer and larger than most homes I've ever seen. Their was a restaurant now in the horse area with booths in the stalls - a very nice restaurant.

This house is huge!

You don't realize how large and how much detail is in the Biltmore until you get right up on it. At least 4 stories tall and a large attic plus two basement levels. The lions at the front steps are about as big as a person.

The Biltmore is an amazing place - we had a great weekend - more photos as the week goes by.

Friday - I have three meetings today - all new prospects - a factory energy update and two church remodels/additions. All nice projects.

We're off to Ashville after work today to see the Biltmore and will return Sunday. We're excited - watch for photos.

Cinco de Mayo outside of Texas is weird

Good morning - yesterday I cropped and got this photo ready and then forgot to post - must be getting old (don't reply sis).

Another sunny day here - we're back to summer weather again. Have a blessed day.

Rain has stopped

Our rain has stopped and the waters are receding - Nashville will take a long time to recover. I read somewhere it was a 1 in 1000 year flood.

Tonight - look out yard! My grass is like a forest.

Still raining ...

Over 5" of rain in the last two days - over a foot in some parts of Nashville and lots of flooding. They evacuated the Opryland Hotel and roads shut down all over Nashville.

Rain, rain, rain ...

Over 2" yesterday at our house and over a foot in areas closer to Nashville with lots more expected today. Several drownings - so sad.

Pray for all of these folks and be safe today.

I can hear our winds picking up again as the new rains move in.
