We're home - and we had a GREAT time. The Battle of Franklin is amazing and worth studying. The mansions and homes of that area are extremely interesting and the civil war ties are strong. I pray you had a great memorial day.

A new day - and a long weekend! Errands and mowing today and off to Franklin after church Sunday and back home Monday. A relaxing weekend.

It's time ...

Well, we've gone over a month, time for a new grandbaby! Just kidding - but it does seem to have become a regular thing! I'm content with who I have - and they are great.

Well, last night in Nashville I met the new state of Tennessee Architect, new State Fire Marshall and several other new people related to my profession. Nice - but it was outside in an open air pavilion near a pool - not good in a wool suit and 80 degree weather.

Rain here - what's new - but we had some amazingly strong winds tonight and more expected today. Suspected tornado in Smithville last night about an hour away.

Mid week

Mowed the yard last night - we're good for another 4 or 5 days! Looks like no rain today - woohoo! A nice day ahead.

We had pants on the head a few days ago - now socks on the hands. Life is good.

Rain again?!!

Well, it's raining once more. This is getting ridiculous. That old sun has been more hidden than seen in the past few months.

Nothing special going on today unless you count a dentist appointment - yuck. Same old paperwork at work - still better than nothing though - and so many still without jobs. Pray for our country.

Monday

You have probably been hearing the new from Joplin, Missouri. We've many friends there as you know Cindy and both of our children attended Ozark Christian College there. Our friends on facebook who live there or have ties there are sending unbelievable pictures and amazing stories. Pray for those families as the hurt and pain and loss has just begun. We've heard the High School is gone - the tornado was a mile wide and went down range line which is their main street. Hospital also hit hard, countless stores and homes destroyed - now hearing 89 or more dead.

A Cookeville weekend

A nice day here - the church softball game was cancelled last night so we came home and watched a movie and did nothing - woohoo!

Off to a restaurant for breakfast in a few minutes, a few errands and just relaxing. Saturdays are nice. Have a good one!

Casual Friday

It's Friday! Only a few meetings today and a chance to get caught up for the week. Warm weather is back - hooray! We mowed the yard last night - first time in a week and it really needed it.

I got a call from a church yesterday that I'd been working on for months - they had the congregational vote on the new addition I designed for them and it passed - woohoo!

I love the weekend

68 degrees out and raining - brrr. We ain't in Texas any more. Can you believe we'll have been here 3 years in a few weeks! It feels like home, but we still get homesick for our Texas friends a lot. Cindy and I will mention almost daily our family and church friends and think of you often in our prayers. Have a great day!!

Missing those grandkids - I could hold one right now and just skip work today ...

Rain projected and a cooler weekend - pleasant weather but humid.

I'm hoping to get over to Nashville today - we just finished a hanger for some country singer (T.S.) and I hope to see her hanger before they lock us out.

Young driver - watch out!

I pass several farms, barns, lots of cows, subdivisions and several small businesses until I get into town. A pleasant drive - but these drivers often go 5 to 10 miles below the speed limit. My San Antonio driving habits don't fare well here!

Have a great day - off to Crossville at noon and several other meetings tucked into today as well. Paperwork will have to wait until tomorrow.

Dark hair - brown eyes

Lincoln has some pretty dark hair and it appears his eyes are brown too. A bit different from his blue-eyed, red haired sister. We'll keep him!

We love our babies

At least Anna and Link still have their other grand-parents there to spoil them. Somebody has to do it! But we still miss them.

A cool morning - low 30's, but going to warm up today and over the next few days. Tennessee has too many winters!

How may grandparents does it take to help a grand-daughter go down a slide? Evidently four counting me - aren't grandkids great!

Cooler weather here - frost watch out this morning and a heavy fog has lifted. I thought spring had sprung?

Kaireia really wasn't glad to see me go - she just loved the truck! Her favorite thing was riding in the back seat and sticking her hand out the rear window - go figure!

Glad we mowed the yard last night - raining today and much cooler.

Baby dedication

We got to see Lincoln dedicated at church yesterday. What a nice family.

Got home last night around 8pm or so - feels nice! More rain projected this week - I want some sunshine!
