Jump for joy

A nice weekend with my folks - we'll see them Wednesday evening and the rest of the family this weekend in the Sevierville area.

Quiet here - Cindy and I've had like 1 day alone in the past three weeks or so - kind of spooky quiet.

Cooler Saturday

We're supposed to be a bit cooler than last week. Sounds good to me.Even 10 degrees helps.

My folks are here and we'll see what the day holds for us. Enjoy your weekend!

Ride off into the west

Another week - ready to wrap it up for another week. A day long seminar today - hob-nobbing with local mayors and city councilmen. I've been to enough of these events, that I know most of the local mayors and councilmen - kind of scary, huh?

My folks roll in this afternoon for the weekend - should be fun. Have a great Friday.

We miss Neidon!

Yesterday, Cindy and I were talking all evening about how much we missed Neidon! We had a great time with him - what a fun guy.

High temps here and then we're supposed to see a break-thru and milder temperatures - sounds great.

No travels today - just paperwork - sounds good as I'm behind. Love you all .... maybe today.

Heading home

Neidon heads back today - it will be QUIET! He helped me mow the lawn again last night - that kid had stamina! Pray for the travelers today.

Anniversary

Yawn

I could have slept in a bit longer this morning. It's overcast out, so a bit darker - makes it hard to wake up. Hopefully no rain today - we really need to mow tonight.

Well, not sure if Reed is still in Houston. His flight back from Oregon got rerouted through Corpus Christi and then to Houston and it looks like he was going to have to spend the night there. Hope he makes it home okay today.

Driveway chalkin'

My driveway has almost returned to normal after the kids dressed it up. It was nice all chalked up though!

A new week - rain projected here today. Already overcast outside with high's only in 80's today - sounds like a nice change from the heat.

Better go - work calls - paperwork and off to Murfreesboro today - my job there broke ground last week and the owner is adding stuff already.

Cane Creek Park

We went over to Cane Creek Park yesterday for awhile - hot, hot, hot! We rode the paddle boat, feed the ducks and rode about every piece of playground equipment in the park. Life is good.

Saturday already

Finally mowed lawn last night - it was like a hay field in spots. A nice day ahead - no rain projected. Have a great weekend!

Pray Request

A dear friend, Sonya Russell, in San Antonio passed away about half an hour ago. Pray for Gary, her husband, and her family. She has battled cancer for years and has such a kind and gentle spirit.

Friday once more

Well, this was sure a fast week! I got to come home last night and play legos and blocks with a young man. Neidon is sure a fun kid to be around.

Well, we got a hard rain yesterday so we couldn't mow last night - the yard is looking like a hay field - maybe tonight but more rain projected.

Gang is gone

Well, the troubadours have left - it's a one-man show for the next week. Cindy is sure spoiling that boy! Neidon seems to be enjoying it.

Wow - what a hot day yesterday - went to see a concrete pour in Vonore - almost 600 yards of concrete for a 24" thick silo pad for two huge silos. They started at 2 am and finished the pour at noon - it was hot, hot, hot!

Rain projected today and the next several days - sure sounds great.

Kids leave today - Neidon stays another week. I'm 20 minutes out of town heading to Vonore today.

Summertime ...

... and the living is easy. Or at least hotter.

The grand kids are enjoying chalking up the driveway. Crepe Myrtles are blooming and plants are blooming as well - a pretty time of year.

Last full day with all the kids - and then Neidon spends another week with us. Have a great day.

Back home

Adams kids are back home and Kleeman kids are on their way. Cindy rode back to help Audrey and is coming back with Rach - she'll be worn out - and loving it!

Mowed the lawn last night - looks like rain out this morning - just made it! Have a great Friday!

Kids head home today - visit was way too short - travel safe!

Little guy

I got to hold a little guy last night for quite a while. He slept most of the time - my stomach must be nice and soft! It was rough - but somebody had to do it.

We had tons of rain yesterday - probably 2" in an hour at the office and about an inch at home - more projected the next few days.

Well, off to work - have a great day.

Company coming

Wow - these kids don't look like kids here - they are growing up way too fast. They need a grandpa to love on them.

Company coming in today - Anna and Lincoln and that lady who lives with them - Audrey - ha! We'll try to spoil all three this week while we have them.

Hot, hot and hotter projected - you all be careful this week. No rain projected here until mid-week.

Now you can get dressed up and put a tie on - it's Sunday! I must be old school - I've never worn jeans to church on Sunday mornings but I'd rather you wear jeans than not go at all.

How's this for a sharp looking guy? I'm going to be spoiling him tomorrow!

Good Friday morning - we're expecting a big storm to roll through any moment now. Rain yesterday stopped my lawn mowing - hmmm - hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Off to Rockwood this morning and back in time for an 11 am meeting. I dislike the traffic going up and then back down the mountain between here and Monterrey. Trucks - stay in the right lane like the signs say and we'll all be happier!

I love that face. What a blessing to have two babies in the family - they are so much fun. Of course, all 7 are my babies and probably will be for a long time.

My ballerinas!

Good Friday morning - whew, the elliptical liked to kill me this morning - off to work and rest up!

My route to work includes passing several farms, usually getting caught behind a tractor, I pass a tractor and implement sales yard, at least one field covered with kudzu as well multiple businesses and restaurants as I get into town. It's a pleasant 11 minute drive and about 7 miles long.
