 Good morning - a bit of rain today and in the 50's - winter has temporarily left us - looks like it is returning next week.

At work today and tomorrow and then off until the 5th - can't wait.

Enjoy these photos of yesteryear!

More sunshine

Good morning - we are sure loving this warm weather - looks like mowing tonight! That hay field of a yard looks tall.
I think I'm in the office today - paperwork and more paperwork - it always calls me!

Sunshine ahead

Good morning - we're sure tired of rain around here. Yesterday I had to go to Mt. Juliet early and it poured hard all the way over. We're ready to dry out.
Wow - Thursday already - what a fast week. How has your gone? Mine has been a good one. Count each day a blessing.

Scanning old photos

We're scanning old photos today - the good thing is most our our photos are digital today so our kids may not have to do this as much .... hmmm ... thinking of all of our photo albums ... maybe not.

This photo is of my grandparents (my mom's folks) taken in 1954 - same year I was born.

Anti-depressant

We haven't seen the sun for what seems like forever - it gets so depressing sometimes.I wish it would just snow and get it over with - time to move on ...

Another big week ahead - hope you are all doing well - have a good one!

Mondays are yucky

Greetings - a good but cold day - we're off and running.

No news here - another great week ahead - what exciting things does God have in store for us? Are you even watching for it?

Isaiah 41:13-14

For I, the Lord your God,
    hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
    I am the one who helps you.”

I'm not hiding from you

Good morning - no, I've not been hiding - the last two days I had to be in Murfreesboro by 7 am - when I committed, I didn't know that meant I'd have to get up by 5 am and leave Cookeville by 5:30am - yawn!

Last night we went to a Tech BB game and I barely stayed awake - this old body can't take much of that ole burning the candle at both ends any more.

Yes, it's Friday - hang on, it's almost over!

Funeral and graveside

 Saturday were the funeral and graveside in the mausoleum - always a joy to see family even in the midst of sorrow.

Gotta go - elder's meeting this afternoon - love you all.

2  a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4  a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

The viewing

The viewing was nice and relaxed - family and friends were there and the flowers were beautiful.

Audrey had the foresight to bring a memory tree and folks wrote notes for Amos to enjoy later.

Galen and Cindy brought some photos - we had fun reminiscing about Irene.

Before the viewing

Our second day in Indiana we watched birds, played with toys and just hung out with grandpa Miller and other family members. It's always great seeing family.

Temperature in the low teens and snow on the ground - brrr - we're back in Tennessee!

Our Vacation - looking back

Greetings - our vacation started a bit early as Cindy's mom passed away unexpectedly and we headed up to Lafayette, Indiana for the funeral.

Here are some of the folks we met when we first got there - needless to say, we had a great time with them.

Parker girls

My mom and her sisters - Marcia, Esther and Martha - thanks Kimberly for taking this photo - great!

A good day ahead - God is so good - it doesn't mean that I don't feel overwhelmed at times, but God is as close as you let Him. Count on him to get you through your own circumstances.

August 2004 flashback photo

The work week may be half over, but my work load isn't - hold on, we can get through this!

This photo was from a trip where Cindy, Rachel and Kaireia visited the Miller's in Lafayette. Time flies ...

Looks like rain here, but not really projected until this weekend - a little bit would help the yard though.

Hope your day goes well - we're off and running!

Yawn ... yawn ...

Well, Monday sure snuck up on me - I could have used a few more zzz's this morning. Those grandkids wear you out!
Oh well, back to work to rest up.
A great week ahead - what's God got in store for us? Can't wait to find out ...

Friday! At least for me

Good morning! We're off to Ohio this afternoon for a long weekend - woohoo!
This is Delaney and her son. Delaney is my cousin Cheryl's daughter. We got to see them when we went to Indiana for my Aunt and Uncle's anniversary recently. Interesting enough, Cheryl and her husband Charlie now own Parker's Lake - the lake that my grandpa Parker made back in the 70's.
Well, if it's Friday for me, it will be a wild and crazy day trying to wrap up for the weekend!

More Anniversary photos

 A few more photos from our trip to Indiana. A lot of catching-up to do - a lot of fun!

Got the lawn mowed last night - more company tomorrow - grandbaby alert!

Hopefully in the office all day today - LOTS of paperwork - I have too much in my pipeline, something needs to start dripping out!

Sunshine today - enjoy!
