Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas - I pray you have a grand day! Hard to believe another Christmas has come upon us!

The Birth of Jesus

Luke 2  - In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.  (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)  And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,  and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Originators of the Mod Squad

Good morning - a bit of rain today and in the 50's - winter has temporarily left us - looks like it is returning next week.

At work today and tomorrow and then off until the 5th - can't wait.

Enjoy these photos of yesteryear!

We're back

Good morning - we got home Saturday evening and had a great Thanksgiving with Rachel and her family. Good to go and good to be home again.
It's December already -  this year has flown with lots of changes - I think that's good - love you all!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!
A sunny day ahead - looks like no rain for once! We've had a great week - Cindy's brother Galen and his wife spent the week with us and made an offer on a house here in Cookeville. We had a great visit - they're retiring and moving here this summer.
Cancelled our cable phone and got a new home line yesterday - we've a new land line number but our mobiles are the same.

Who's spoiling my grand-daughter?

Kardia, Dad & Aunt Martha
Good morning - high 20's out this morning - brrrr! Another cold day ahead.

Sorry no photo yesterday - had too be in the office early to final review a large bid that was going in at 8:30 am. A team of us stayed late the night before to get it mostly ready.

Another paperwork day - catching up is good! Have a blessed day.

Hiking is hard work

We did take a 'short' hike in Sevierville. If Anna could walk the whole way, you know it wasn't too long. But it did get pretty steep.

Well, almost church time - we have the nursery today - having to play with babies - hard work!

Mid 60's this morning - feels more like fall.

Miss my babies

I'd love kids climbing over my lap right now - that would be fun!

We mowed last night - seemed like more dust than grass - we're pretty dry right now - that's Tennessee dry, not Texas dry.

Have a great day - off to breakfast and some errands.

60 Years

Good morning - feels like I've been gone forever - Sevierville was a crazy mess of bumper to bumper cars and overpriced stores, but the cabin and get together with family was great! A great area - nice and quiet and a feeling of solitude - if possible with 26 people.

Well, we're off and running - back to normal - whatever that is ...

We're back!

The family reunion in Sevierville was great - and it is great to be home again. Here are my folks with all the great grandkids - woohoo!

Knoxville today - the road is long ...

Looks like a wild gang was at Darin's church this summer - I could get my hands on a few of them.

Have a great day - still fighting this Switchgrass project - getting close - within 10%.

World Travelers

I thought it was cool and rainy here this morning - looks like the folks had the same weather on their trip. Is that their yacht in the background?

PS Yesterday - Audrey was in the Niagara Falls area - I'm the only one that stays close to home I guess.

Welcome home

My folks just got back from a nice trip - can you guess where they went from the photo?

PS The rock on the left has been held for Carter's bust - I was going to say something silly about that, but that seems to be enough.

Have a great week!

Hi pal ...

I was going to say something silly, but I like this picture so much I couldn't - just enjoy a 'behind the scenes' moment.

1974

Wow - August 10, 1974. The Rat Pack had nothing on us!

This big event put aside the news of Nixon's resignation from the day before. In comparison, this was even bigger then Tony Parker's wedding.

Who is that young couple standing with us?
