Baby it is super cold outside

Okay, so it's only 30, but hey - it feels colder! High of 40 and then closer to 20 tonight and another chance of snow this afternoon. Weird weather - thanks Al Gore!
I'm meeting with a new prospect this morning, a lunch meeting with 45 business folks today - I'm 1/3 of the way as the group president and counting down already - ha! And a major bid due this afternoon - we've already bid around $50 million of work this year.
Gotta go - love those kids!!

What a storm!

Did you all experience that storm last night? It hit us hard and it is still raining pretty hard right now. We are currently under a tornado watch and still have a wind advisory with a high of 63 today and a low tonight in the 30's.

Had to be up and out and early yesterday so hopefully this photo makes up for a lack of one yesterday. Enjoy!

Overcast Monday

Overcast but warmer today - a great day of paperwork and catch up ahead and the last Tech Basketball game for a couple of weeks tonight. Must be a road trip ahead.

A great day of church yesterday - a wonderful sermon, great fellowship and last night church family night - bowling and about 80 showed up - lots of fun!! (Even if Cindy beat me)

A bit of rain projected but you know how that goes. Probably sunny and warm - ha! Enjoy!

Saturdays are Swell

Good afternoon - we went downtown early to meet Diane Black (our congresswoman) and stood in line about 90 minutes to talk with her for 5 to 6 minutes. It was still great and we saw a lot of folks we knew.
We had 'brunch' and ran a few errands on the way home - now home to work on lessons for church and then Tech ball games start at 5:30 - hey, Saturdays are supposed to be relaxing!

Here is the view of the floor from our seats at the Tech basketball games. ESPN-U was there last night so it's possible we were on camera at some point. Nice seat. huh?
Freezing outside and rain - great combination - hopefully roads are warm enough to be safe - love you all - have a wonderful Friday.

Thankful for Thursday

Good morning! A bit chilly, high 20's, but warming up a bit today and then a projection of snow/sleet/rain tonight - we'll see. Sometimes these tend to 'just barely' miss us.

You may not be aware, but our senior minister recently left us and we are searching for someone that meets our needs. Please pray for us as we begin that search process.

No big news - another work day and hey - TECH basketball tonight - woohoo!

Another 18 degree morning ...

It's sure hard to get out of bed when it's dark and cold outside - my body is moving mighty slow.

We got our bid out yesterday - over $9,000,000 toward a Navy Air Station Dining Hall facility in Meridian, Mississippi. Hopefully it doesn't take forever to find out about it.

Inside again today and paperwork - church tonight - wow, it's Wednesday already!

At office

Got to office super-early, sorry no picture today. 18 degrees out this morning with high of 28 projected. Bundle up!

Another work week

Back to work - a good but quick weekend. A bid due Wednesday early so the next few days will be pretty crazy. A Tech Basketball game tonight too. Hold on - we're off and running again.

Eagle watch 2013

Had a great Eagle Watch yesterday in northern Tennessee. We saw 10 to 12 eagles of various ages/sizes and enjoyed the lake and the camaraderie of other folks on the boat.

Sunny and dry

Warmer weather today - even though we are starting out in the 20's. The snow missed us completely yesterday, but just 30 miles to the east they got hit most of the way to Knoxville.

Paperwork this morning and Crossville this afternoon. Already looking forward to a weekend - this was a long but productive week.

Eagle watch tomorrow - if no pictures, it means we had to get off early. Have a blessed weekend.

Expecting snow any time

Drippy and freezing outside .. they're projecting snow to roll in today and actually accumulate. Schools are out today but they have snow days built up anyway.

I had to look at a roof on a factory yesterday and almost froze - I'm inside today no exceptions!

Cold weather is back

It's below freezing and we had a night of rain - fortunately we've been so warm, they don't expect too much ice except at bridges and overpasses. They've been starting school a couple of hours late - just to be safe.

Well, Cindy did a phenomenal job last night but still lost - it was very close, especially considering she was the 'unknown newcomer' to town. I was proud of here - what a great speech. I sense presidential material.

Well, I'm off - stay warm!

Good morning this freezing and rainy morning - not a good mix! Fortunately I'm inside most of the day, but lots more rain ahead.

Well, Cindy is up for vote tonight as the Putnam County Republican Party Vice-Chairperson - pray for God's will. I think she'd do a good job, but I'm slightly prejudiced.

Dreaming of St. Augustine and warm weather

Good morning - we went from a high yesterday in the 60's to below freezing this morning. And I was just getting into this global warming thing too!
Mostly paperwork today and getting ready for another action packed week. Lots of cold and possibly sleet and snow this week - drive careful and be safe - love you all!

Alone again ... naturally

Well, the kids left yesterday after lunch headed back to Columbus. We had fun with Reed, Audrey and the kids - they are sure growing! (The kids that is)

It was incredibly quiet this morning as we had no one sleeping in our room and no one wanting us to get them up so they could play.

Church in a few minutes with several church meetings this afternoon - a LONG day ahead. Love you all.

'Feel like dancing' Wednesday

A rainy day ahead - overcast and dark out and might wet.

Some Adams kids coming down to visit tonight for a couple of days - Grandma is all smiles.

Got another major quote done last night and another one to upload today that is due in two weeks. We no longer send out plans & specs to subcontractors and vendors - we now upload to a web site and send them a private invite and password so they can go to this site if interested and download what they need. Technology is amazing.

Well, hang on - we're off and running.

Unhappy face Monday

Good morning mateys - ahoy from the Adams ship of the upper Cumberlands. Well, maybe not a ship but I've a long way to row this week.

One, if not two, evening meetings are ahead; three bid deadlines I'm aware of; and several proposals to kick out the door. Hey, I could be without a job - God is good!

This is my Immanuel week - God with us. I need His presence this week and am practicing it like crazy. I think several of you have things going on as well, so buckle up and hang on - we're off.

Fort Clinch, Amelia Island

 Good morning! We've got church in a bit so I'm pumping coffee into my body in an attempt to get rolling! I'm getting close. I'm also listening to Earl Scruggs singing the 'Old Fashioned Way' which is giving me a kick as well.

No big news - we're supposed to warm up this week - I'm ready for warmer weather. Of course our warmer may not be your warmer - depending upon where you live.

Better go - still have to get shoes on and grab a coat - of yes, one more cup of coffee!

Saturday (I'm smiling)

Good late morning to you all - our company left around 5am this morning to head back to Joplin, Missouri. He preaches tomorrow so a LONG drive back.

Wow - a LONG short week - so thankful for Saturday. We had a Ministry team in to help the leaders in our church to become more Godly leaders and we were with them from 5pm to about 10pm or 11pm every night this week - making it even LONGER. I'm still mentally drained.

Anyway - a fun relaxing day ahead - TECH basketball later this afternoon too - woohoo!
