Neidon continued on in oblivion, which was just as well. A trait which, thankfully, all men acquire at a young age.

Answer to photo date

I forgot to give you the answer to Kaireia's photo. I took it in October of 2003. I was there for the funeral/birth and Grandma Adams (Cindy) was holding her on her lap. What a doll!

Missouri

We're having just a miserable time as you can see.

Neidon fell down and cracked his head open the day before we got here and they had to rush him to the Springfield emergency room. The scar will be really cool someday.

We went to Silver Dollar City today and it wore us out. Some even got to take a nap!

It was Southern Gospel weekend and lots of great singers everywhere.

Neidon is waiting at the airport terminal for his plane. He's a cross country traveler now, first by car and now by airplane.

He's drinking quick as they don't allow carry on drinks any more. He appears a little surprised about that new ruling!

We went with Reed to Sea World on Wednesday - a fun time was had by all.



















Cindy did get distracted by a nearby child at the Shamu show. Those grandmas!! You can see she ignored the little girl and just concentrated on the show ... What show?

Texas

This exact day in 1977, Cindy and I were leaving Memphis, Tennessee (after spending the night there) and wondering why all the cars were going the opposite direction. We were moving to San Antonio and found out later that Elvis had died that very night. We should have bought a paper that morning!

29 years later and we're still here - I wonder if it'll last?

Dad's birthday was Tuesday and Reed was in town so we all got together for a great time. Mesa meets New Braunfels. Happy Birthday!

Kaireia in St. Louis for her first pro baseball game. By the way, the Cardinals won.

She appears a little bored with the game - I agree. In San Antonio, the best part is the tackling of the puffy taco mascot between innings.

11 months old

Neidon turned 11 months old yesterday. Rachel couldn't keep him still for his monthly photo.

I could have used some ice cream yesterday at Sea World - it seemed like it was the hottest day of the year! I did see Mark Jones get drenched by Shamu - that was worth the price of admission!

Making friends

Kaireia is having a great time at VBS - a good friend and some ice cream - it doesn't get any better than that!

VBS

Yes, it's that time of year again - VBS, or Vacation Bible School . Our theme this year was Fiesta - appropriate for San Antonio.

Kairiea had a great time at her VBS. I hope your church had a good VBS as well. Our church had over 100 kids each day. The kids had a great time, the workers were exhausted.
