Red-headed gals

Well, I can taste 'V-A-c-a-t-i-o-n" in the air already. A wild day yesterday in Knoxville and a busy day today and then ... freedom! Woohoo (a little Rebel yell)

My Knoxville project has contract written all over it and they want to proceed before year end - go to your happy place and think good thoughts for me - whatever - just pray for God's will!

Have a great Christmas and New Year and I'll be back in a bit over a week. I love you all and thanks for following my family this year.

Three more days of work and then ... I'm on Vacation!

A crazy work week - a huge bid due Tuesday and then 'clean my desk up' Wednesday. I'm way behind on cold calls too - sounds fun, huh? That's why they call it work ...

Dress up Sunday

It's off to church! A bit of frost right now, but it should be a nice day here - pushing 40 degrees - a real heat wave.

Three more days of work and then 'Gone to Texas', as they used to say.

We set up a place in the basement for the grandkids to give shows for us - lots of fun!

Snow on the ground this morning but hopefully no more today. We're imaging that a week from today we'll be in San Antonio enjoying warm weather - woohoo!

The weather may be dreary, but these old grandparents have light and joyous hearts. We had a wonderful year and 2011 proves to be just as wonderful. Two more grandchildren to join the family and we're excited. Welcome to Noema and Lincoln!

I'm back!

Well, another 3 hours or so last night transferring files over to the new computer. It is fast ;-)

Lots of snow here in the last day or so and more expected Wednesday. San Antonio over the Christmas to New Year break is sounding mighty nice right now.

Still working on it

I can't get my old photoshop software to work on Windows 7 so trying a new software - not happy with the photo resizing feature - I'll figure it out soon.

A blizzard here - Live Nativity cancelled as well as all schools, etc. I'm sure the office will be open though ...

Getting closer

I'm posting this on the new computer - now to move my photos and 7 years worth of stuff over. At least the new computer has 1.5 terabytes of storage - lots of room for a digital pack rat like me. Cindy won't let me do it in real life! Don't tell her I said that.

Well, two nights of working live nativity in our church and one last night tonight and we're free. We stood in the rain two hours last night - ponchos helped, but I was a wise man and didn't feel the part standing in freezing rain. Snow is projected to roll in today around noon so tonight should prove interesting - to say the least.

New computer soon

My new computer has shipped and should arrive tomorrow. I hope to be back on schedule next week for photo postings.

Cindy returns tomorrow from Ohio - got to see Lincoln Aaron Adams via text photo this week. His sister Anna wasn't impressed.

Noema Irene Kleeman is doing well too - just weeks away. The first part of next year is going to be busy and exciting.

Snowy weekend

Well, the snow is gone, but we had some nice flurries much of yesterday. Even more projected next weekend.

My computer is running like molasses - sorry for the lack of pictures. My new computer got pushed out a bit - everyone must be ordering for Christmas.

It's too quiet

Well, a busy week, but lots more quiet than last week. Thanksgiving was fun while it lasted.

My computer is up for a few minutes so posting a quick note. We had snow on our deck Monday morning and more expected tomorrow with a high around 32 degrees.

Mashed potato taste tester - hmmm ...

My Computer is 7 years old this coming week, which in Computer years is like 103. It had congestive heart failure and a seizure at the same time a few days ago. I'm getting this out during a period of consciousness, but it may not last. My new computer is being built today and we should have it soon. (PS I did get a full backup - hooray)

In the meantime, enjoy my sweetheart. She can seem so mature at times and we have the greatest talks. She is a special girl!

Wow - that week went quick!

Well, Thanksgiving week is over and real life has begun again. Maybe we can get something done this week.

But I'll still miss my babies - we had a fun time. Anna was taking several steps at a time, Neidon has become quite a story-teller, Kardia is a real talker too and Kaireia is becoming quite the young girl - each personality is so different.

Company coming!!

This is my only post this week - the office is about to become a bedroom as the family rolls in - over the river and through the woods sort of thing.

Anna is taking after her father in at least one area of her life. I can recall many a time where Reed went to sleep in this very position.

Thank you God for our memories that recall past events of joy - will our memories carry into heaven? Will the sorrow be washed away? God - we trust you even with our thoughts.

Going to grandparents is fun!

Going to my grandparents was something I looked forward to - unlike other events.

I'm thankful for wonderful grandparents who loved me and spent a lot of time with me. That's the kind of grandparent I pray I am and continue to be. Thanks you God for my grandparents!

Well, the handful of people who use my bath-tub will be here next week. My tub is getting excited - it's been a boring year for it.

Riding with friends

Good morning! Pray for my folks as they fly off to Maui today. Pray for safety and health as they travel and enjoy a few weeks of sunshine.

A week until Thanksgiving - I'm thankful for my children and their spouses. God has truly blessed us here. I love them and the way their hearts are turned toward God. Thank you God.

5 days until Anna comes to visit

Another cold and rainy day. We did have the sun yesterday for about an hour between the rain and the real cold front. This ain't Texas weather!

An inch of rain last night and more rain today - most of the fall leaves have been knocked down and it truly looks like winter.

We're cooler this morning - rainy, cooler and fall is in the air. A bit foggier early - those mountains did look smoky.

I'm thankful for my 5 grand-children and for the 2 on the way. Thank you God!

Another week until company comes

This is from last Thanksgiving - hard to believe how quickly this year has flown by.

What am I thankful for? That my family is doing fine and that I had a new grand-baby this past year with two more coming next year.

My quiver is filling up. :-)

Another fine day

Well - no sight-seeing today. Looks like a final lawn mowing and some errands. Also working on a client remodel and need to complete some drawings I was working on last night and plot out for them.

I like Tuesdays. Monday is behind me, I'm not too close to Friday to have the usual dead-lines, nothing is set up for the evening - overall a great day.

Wow - where in the world did this week go to? It just flew by me. I hope yours went well.

The newest Kleeman will be surprised

The next Kleeman kid better be a nut - the others sure are! Little does she know what a group she is getting into!!

We received news of the newest family member's name last night - we won't give it out yet in case Rachel and Darin want to do the honors.

Nasty weather here - slight chance of flurries before the end of the week.

Summer dreams

Well, the cold weather has been great - I'm ready for summer again.

Oh well, at least we can remember how much fun it was.

We visited this 'treehouse' several weeks ago - about 30 miles away in Crossville. Interesting.

Edgar Evins State Park

Had a nice walk at the park - all right, it was long, hard and uphill both ways. But it was still pretty even thought the leaves are almost gone.

Grandma looks happy

Anna is growing up - taking steps, saying words, getting spoiled by Grandma ...

We had a freeze here this morning, leaves are falling big-time, high of about 60 yesterday.
