We're back

Yesterday we woke up on Amelia Island, went to church and many hours later arrived back in Tennessee and went to sleep in our own beds. It was in the 50's when we left and 20's when we returned. Not good. I think I took 540 photos so I will try to cull the bad and post the good over the next few days.

We're on Vacation

A chilly morning - down in the 20's. But who cares! We're on vacation and heading south-south-south - Florida here we come.

Cindy and I are grinning bigger than a baby with a Popsicle! And that's big!

We love you all and will post pictures via mobile phones as we bask in the warmth of Florida. (I promise no photos of us in swim suits)

Windy and cold all night and even some flurries - winter has returned. One more day and we're off to Florida, so not my problem ... woohoo!

Well, Christmas is right around the corner - another year is almost complete. Did you have any things you wanted to accomplish this year? Things to do or places to go? How did that work out?

Lincoln

A windy, rainy blustery day out so far. It woke me up at 5:08 am with hard rain. I should have gotten up as I don't think I slept much after that.

Another good, busy day ahead. Write a speech for my lunch meeting with 45 some business owners; finish a room schedule for a dining hall building; write a proposal for a church in Lebanon and prepare two projects to get out to bid tomorrow.

Here is one of my future Spurs players. Not sure what position he will play yet. He already has the energy for it.

Good morning! Another busy, but good day ahead. I think I'm working enough for the time I'll be taking off next week. That's life!

Nothing new today - more paperwork - working on a Dining hall for a Naval Air Station in Meridian, Mississippi; a budget for a hotel for a Mr. Patel (surprise); a containment slab down at Wacker; 3 new home designs; a remodel in Crossville; a speech for Thursday at a business group; 3 articles for different magazines; an article for our quarterly newsletter; sketches for a church in Columbia and talking to an owner in Monterey as we try to wrap up his home remodel; cold calls and probably other stuff I forgot. In other words, the same old stuff ... ha!

Wow - did we have a weekend in there? Matt's graduation Saturday and Laura and Sandra came by - what a lot of fun! Yesterday church, off to Crossville for a play with my boss and his wife and our church group Christmas party last night.

Back to work so I can rest up!

Sandra and Laura came over afterwards and spent the afternoon with us - what a blessing! I love my family.

Off to church in a few minutes - continue to pray for the families of the children who were brutally murdered this week. May God ease their sorrow.

Graduation day

Greetings - another morning around 20 degrees - at least the days are still in the high 40's to mid 50's.

We've been looking for a couple of new field crew - Noema looks like she could work out - you think?

Paperwork in the office this morning and off to Crossville this afternoon to meet with a client from Colorado at their Crossville home - a major remodel coming up.

Matt Monroe graduates from Tech tomorrow - Sandra is coming over and we'll head over to Tech to watch - life is good.

Thankful for Thursday

Brrr - below 20 degrees this morning - baby, it's cold outside.

It's been a good week - I've gotten a lot done so far - two bids completed yesterday - I need to write the proposals for them today. A huge meeting today and a client coming in from Colorado tomorrow - busy is good!

Neidon is a great hat person - he is growing up way to fast. The years sure seem to be flying by ...

2 more weeks

Greetings this fine morning - two more weeks and then ... VACATION - woohoo!! We're looking forward to some time off.

Rain ahead

When I'm tired, I feel like I could go to sleep anywhere - I must not be alone!

Another good night at the Living Nativity last night - a lot more traffic and that was with a light misty rain.

Tonight is the last night so come on out if you are in the area - even if it rains again (as projected) the show must go on.

Dark headed boy

 We've always had blue-eyed blond headed babies. We are now blessed with a couple of brown-eyed dark headed guys. Asher is looking like Lincoln in those areas. We got some mighty fine looking grand-babies.

A warm night at the Living Nativity last night. Breakfast out in a bit, run a few errands and then live nativity again tonight.

Rainy Thursday

Good morning - kind of dark and gloomy out - and a bit of rain. At least it is fairly warm out.

Our church has it's Live Nativity this weekend - forecast looks like warm weather which is unusual - we typically have freezing weather or pouring rain - we'll see ...

Cold missed us?

It was hard to open my eyes this morning - it's now dark in the morning and dark when I leave work - so dreary. At least we have warmer weather. It appears our 'cool' front passed by - we're warming up to 70 this weekend. We're back to Texas weather.
I heard mom's hip surgery went well yesterday - Janice was great to send out updating text messages - thanks!!
Gotta go - another day beckons.

Starting off warm again

Good morning! We went to the Cookeville Christmas parade downtown last night and really enjoyed it, plus we enjoyed all of the friends we sat with. It was a warm evening - no cold front yet - so it didn't seem like December time yet.

I left Nashville yesterday at 4:15pm - I don't drive much in city traffic like I used to - thank goodness! Bumper-to-bumper for the first hour - I know that's not much, but it felt like a lot when you don't do it anymore.

A no news Tuesday - love you all - have a good day.

Warm weather ahead

Our last super warm day is today and then it begins to turn colder this week. A good day to do paperwork and hey - go to Lebanon and Nashville! Sounds fun - meetings are your friend.

A great relaxing weekend and a great, busy week ahead. Only three full working weeks this month until Christmas week - I bet it will fly by. 2012 has been a fast - yet packed year.

Good morning - still trying to get back in a routine when I'm not having my normal schedule! Paperwork this morning and off to Somerset, KY this afternoon - back late around 9 pm or so.

The girls were watching snow flurries one morning - they told me not enough for snow angels yet. It was in the 30's most of the time we were there - the high that is.

Good morning - we had great times with the kids, but it was sure nice to sleep in our own beds again. Much colder up there with flurries one day and heavy coat weather every day - I'm just not ready for that yet.

No news - back to work - catching up on all of the emails I got when I was off - I actually have an 8:30am staff meeting to start off the week,  a bid due this morning and then off to Columbia, TN to meet with a client this afternoon - a 2 hour drive each way.

Good morning - enjoyed watching Tech beat Rice in girl's basketball last night. A close game though.

Church in a few minutes but nothing big going on today. I leave after work Tuesday to head north to enjoy the gang for a few days.

Ohio bound

Good morning! Cindy heads off to Ohio to see the grand-kids after church and I head out to Mt. Juliet to meet with a church prospect - why do church clients always like Sunday meetings?

As usual, I'm one of the last to spoil the babies - still fun though! Pray Cindy's trip and visit goes well - Asher is ready to come see his grand-parents! I go up Thanksgiving.

Good morning! Another great day ahead - paperwork, lunch with about 45 small business owners and more paperwork. Hopefully the truck is done today - momma is ready to get me out of her van.
