I bet you don't dress for breakfast like this! Kaireia was too busy eating to put her dough nut down and smile - kind of like my sisters (did I say that?).

Good morning, the week is half over - I pray yours has gone well.

I'm not sure if this is pretend or not, but I don't remember ever eating fish crackers on a spoon.

He's probably sick from all of the sugar he consumed from breakfast (see yesterday's post).

It's Monday.

A new week, a new day - breakfast is the key to every day. Neidon knows that and is starting off the day with a hearty breakfast. But he hasn't learned the 2nd key of nutrition, which is having a little less sugar. Oh well, one step at a time.

The remote is mine!

Neidon's learned the man is in charge of the remote; as it should be. That's why he's smiling. He doesn't realize that doesn't mean he's in charge of the TV!

Wow - August 10, 1974. The Rat Pack had nothing on us!

This big event put aside the news of Nixon's resignation from the day before. In comparison, this was even bigger then Tony Parker's wedding.

Kaireia Joy

Kaireia has a sister due in a few short weeks. Grandma Adams is packed and ready to roll - well, almost!

Her mission, if she decides to accept, will be to spoil babies and then hand them back to the parents.

Why Lord?

We are grieving for our friends, the Travis', who just lost their grandchild; we grieve for the Lackey's and their loss; and we still grieve for our children. We mourn for our losses, for our future dreams that were changed and for loved ones who will ache forever.

Don't mean this as a depressing post - just pray for these families.

We had some great friends who lost their only grandchild yesterday. Pray for the Travis family and their children who are grieving.

I love this picture of Kaireia holding a small bunny. The natural lighting is great and her skin looks so nice against all of the white. What a special granddaughter! What a gift from God.

Well gang - it's another day and it sure looks like rain again. It thundered off in the distance a lot last night and yesterday afternoon we had more rain as well. We're pretty water logged right now.

7.10.04 Deja Vu

This photo was about 3 years ago, but we look even worse now. Rain, rain and ... more rain. Over 7" month to date in San Antonio. We're ready for that sunshine we used to be so famous for before global cooling, I mean warming. Hmmm ... we're 5 to 10 degrees below normal for over two months - go figure.

Reed and Audrey got to see Maui in a number of ways. But when they said they took a chopper ride I had something else in mind.

Well, I must confess that there was a real reason behind Reed and Audrey not wanting a cake. It will come out at the congressional hearing, but in the meantime, let this photograph give you a clue into my real meaning.

Well, my Mondays are not as bad as this, but this morning it did take some doing to get going. We went down to the Wampler's ranch yesterday and didn't get home until around midnight - yawn.
It's good to be back to work to rest up!

Too wet for a walk here

I see a few walkers out my window, but it is still sprinkling some after a really hard rain earlier this morning. My plants aren't liking this - they're south Texas plants and prefer it hot and dry!

Boots Randolph died yesterday. As a saxophone player myself (many moons ago) this was always someone that I admired and aspired to be - and then I realized I wasn't really that good - oh well.

That Kaireia has always been a great dresser. She's about to have a sister to whom she'll have to teach these basic principles. We're only about 7 weeks away to baby nirvana.

Rain, rain, rain! We've had rain here daily for weeks. I guess it's making up for all the dry years we've had in South Texas.
