Happy granddaughter

I love my children so much. I never realized that I could love my grandchildren just as much. The same probably holds true for great grandchildren.

Love is an amazing thing. It grows as your family grows.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4

Johnson City

This is a house I designed that is being built up in Johnson city on the Pedernales river. How about a $325,000 home that is made to look 100 year old?

Miller house

Cindy, Rachel and the kids also spent time at Cindy's parents house in Lafayette, Indiana. Charlotte and her family spoiled the kids something fierce.

I should have been there to watch out!

Home at last

We're tired of car seats!

Home at last - stretch our legs. Enough sitting in car seats to last for another year or so.

There's no place like home!

Back home

The gang is home and Cindy's driving back to San Antonio today.

That's it for now - I need to get back to my house cleaning!

Have a great weekend.

Kaireia has so many new friends she can't keep track.

Good looking guys

Here's Reed and Neidon when Reed visited Missouri back in May.

They look like good bud's.

On the banks of the Wabash

Here is why Cindy is having such a great time. Playing with her babies.

They are at the George Rogers Clark Monument in Vincennes in this photo - wonderfully taken by Rachel.

Here are some real swingers.

Great Auntie

I'm scared to think about what my grand-kids are learning here at the feet of the master.

It'll take me months to straighten them out!

My little princess

Kairiea is my little princess - with or without her purple dress. What a happy girl.

Have a great week!

Singin'

Kaireia is a singer. Rachel says she sings all of the time.

You can tell she is singing some great song to Neidon in this photo.

Everytime I call Rachel I can hear her in the background and usually singing. What a happy girl!

Thursday, June 15, 2006

Huggin'

Well Neidon - get used to it! Kaireia is just a hugger.

Every boy with sisters has multiple moms! Get used to it.

Cheap toys

Remember when a cardboard box or a belt was a great toy?

Young children can be content with very little.

Neidon is having a great time!

New photo to enjoy

Isn't this a great photo? Rachel took it about 8 am this morning. She wants me to know what I'll be missing out on as Cindy and her take the next two weeks for their cross country trip to Indiana and back.

Remember Cindy, there's no place like home, there's no place like home, ...

America

My views on immigration aside, a lots of folks seem confused about what comprises America. If you recall from NINTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY (yes, it's been a while), America is comprised on North, Central and South America. North America includes the main countries of Bermuda, United States, Canada, Greenland and Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Central America includes Mexico, El Salvador and Panama, to name a few. South America includes Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela, again to name just a few of its countries.

My point - the news, blogs, people I know keep saying "we need to close the American borders" or "We need to keep the illegal aliens out of America", or something like that. We BOTH live in America! Quit saying America when you mean the U.S.! Mexico is in America too and unless our Geography books change, will continue to remain in America.

'Nuf said - my pet peeve for today.

Ouch!

My sister Sandy who lives in Tennessee sent me a birthday card last week with this photo on the front! I think she was trying to be funny in a hurtful sort of way. Fortunately I'm big enough to turn the other cheek and just walk away.

At least the photo is a good resemblance of her.

Frog riders

Rachel and Kaireia riding a frog at Silver Dollar City a few weeks ago.

Who's having the most fun?

Sunday, June 04, 2006

It's Sunday again

Time to get on your best clothes and head off to church. Neidon has his best "birth" day suit on.

Keep smiling!

Inside the Lexington

Another Lexington shot. This is inside the main bay. It was huge. There were a number of planes sitting in here and there was still lots of room.

Take time to smell the roses

Okay, so not every rose is sweet smelling. Or maybe we aquire a taste for the smell as time goes by?

Karieia sure doesn't like it.

Frog rider

Here is Kaireia riding a frog - is she happier about that or the bag of goodies in her hand?

Have a great day.

Great design

As an architect I love great design. I also love movies - especially old movies. If you ever watch old movies, one of the greatest Production Designers is (was) Henry Bumstead. He worked on several of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock & Clint Eastwood movies, and yes, one of my favorites - "To Kill a Mockingbird".

Anyway, Mr. Bumstead died on May 29th. A Production designer before the age of computer imaging. Hopefully this kind of talent will never be replaced by computers.

Great day

Kaireia called again today to say "Happy Birthday Grandpa". She has such a sweet voice.

What a great present!

Birthday call

I got an early Birthday call yesterday evening.

A little girl called and said "Hi Grandpa! I love you grandpa!"

It doesn't get any better than this!!

I am blessed.
