Pretty scary

Another picture from the vault. Kaireia was just a few months old.

Pretty scary, huh?

Here's an interesting article - click here - "Is Halloween the New Christmas"

I think the line in the article - "It's all about you" is pretty telling. Consider that versus Christmas where it is all about Him.

Old but good

Rachel's been too busy to send photos for awhile - go figure! - moving and now two sick kids!! She even missed her first Sunday at the new church.

Anyway, I went back to the old vault down in the basement and pulled some photos from the archives. (Almost forgot the combination) It took awhile to dust them off, but I hope you enjoy.

My little princess

Better get into your pumpkin and head out to church. It's a beautiful day in the south!

Here's my little princess and nobody had to write it on a pumpkin for me to realize it.

Unpacking

The kids are unpacking and finding all kinds of great stuff.

Cindy's going up in a few weeks to help out - hopefully they'll save some of the fun for her.

I've been in a seminar all day today - I had to be downtown by 8 am - and it's Saturday! It was still great.

You all have a great weekend.

Little buckeye

Neidon loves the stairs in his new condo and momma is busy keeping him away from them. Hopefully that head doesn't get another bump.

Enjoy your Friday - the work week is about over!

Overalls

I can remember a photo of Reed in overalls on Grandpa Parker's lap - seems like yesterday.

Neidon is now a city boy - chuck the overalls, bring on the Brooks Brothers.

In memory of ...

Terry is on the left holding Kaireia's hand and Dale is on the right with the balloons - these are Darin's parents. Of course, Darin is with Neidon. This was last Friday. They let balloons go to remember Kairou and celebrate his short life.

Rachel called last night - they are safely in Ohio!

Another tree hugger

Well, Neidon gets into Ohio today. Yesterday there were snow flurries there - hopefully a little warmer today.

I can see you Neidon!

Little punkin'

Here's my little punkin' in a pumpkin patch. She sure looks old sometimes.

Today they are driving to Ohio on the first leg of the trip to their new home. I pray for safe travels to my loved ones!

Two little mice

I love these mieces to pieces! What big ears you have.
The kids went to a fall festival and it looks like they had a great time.
It's 50 degrees in San Antonio right now - brrrr - it will probably be 80 degrees by noon - ha!

Kick back and relax - it's Saturday!

Greetings!

Sorry I'm late with posting today - went out of town last night and got back in just a few minutes ago.

Here's a picture to get you going. That Neidon knows how to relax and enjoy his meal!

Having fun

Don't want to leave today on a sad note. So here are our pride and joy.

Kaireia is drawing and Neidon is enjoying his freedom. He's a real climber.

Love you all - P.

3 years

It's hard to believe Kairou has been gone three years. And then we look at Kaireia and realize what a blessing we have.

I don't know God's ways but I trust Him.

Have a great weekend!

Merry go round

I bet Cindy wishes she was there right now playing with the grand babies. The kids are packing this week. Sunday is their last Sunday at Kingsway and on to Ohio, leaving Monday.

Pray for a safe trip and that they can sell their house in Missouri.

Father and Son

Here is a shot of Darin with Neidon taken a few weeks ago.

What a blessed grandfather and father-in-law I am!

Big load

Dad's got to rest sometime! This is a big load.

Actually this photo was moments before the big ride - anticipation can be fun too!

Monday, October 16, 2006

Wheee ...

Who knew that being the Senior Minister was such HARD work!

Look at Neidon's eyes - is that an excited or scared look?

Kaireia is having a ball!

Three years old!

Can you believe we have a three year old grand-daughter!

At 5:29 pm, 2 minutes behind her brother, a beautiful girl was born and has been a Joy ever since!

"Grandchildren are the crown of old men" - Proverbs 17:6.

Messy guy

How would you like to kiss this mug?

Maybe just a forehead kiss this time.

We still love you Neidon!

As always - click on picture to see larger.

Pink shoes

Well, it's Friday once more. This is one of those weeks that I'd like to trade out, but it's gone now. I'm glad God knows the big picture.

Here's my favorite little tree-hugger. Somehow it doesn't take on the same meaning that term usually brings to mind.

Have a great weekend!

Missouri Gal

Here's my little Missouri gal. She's going to be a Buckeye soon, but I'm sure a bit of Missouri will also remain.

What exciting adventures does God have in mind for her life?

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)

Having fun

I love this photo.
Kaireia is so happy you can feel it. She really liked holding and petting the bunnies.
And Neidon - what a glance he's giving them! I can't tell if he is timid or is ready to jump in himself.

Keather and Kaireia

Kaireia with her Aunt at Silver Dollar City in the petting area. This was Kaireia's favorite part of our visit.

Keather works in this area so we got to see her and visit with her for awhile.

Isn't this a great shot of them?

Vac Riders

For some reason, Rachel is having trouble packing and cleaning in preparation for moving. Go figure!

Relax, it's Saturday

I pray you had a great week. I got a lot accomplished and am off to a men's breakfast at the church in a few minutes.

I hope you get a chance to sit back and relax this weekend. The kids have already started.

Old Goat

Neidon and his grandpa Adams.

Neidon has a young goat on one side and an old goat on the other side.

He doesn't look too worried though.

Hope your week went well.

Dinosaur hunter

Here's our little dinosaur hunter. Chances are they'll be in his mouth in the next few moments.

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Buddies

An oldie from July 2004.

Reed and Kaireia reading a book together.

Playing with gramps

I'd like to be playing with my grandkids right now.

Neidon was sick last week with a high fever so hopefully has all of that behind him.

The church in Ohio has hired the kids so they're house hunting and will be home packing soon.

You can hear his sermon from now on at their website. Last week's topic was "the church God built".

We're off and running.

It's Monday and we're off and running. I started getting calls at 7 am and everyone is already into the new week.

Looks like Neidon wants to be off and running as well.

You all have a great week.

Pretty in pink

Haven't received any current pictures for awhile. Don't know why the kids don't have time!

Just because they are packing, moving, traveling between two cities, keeping up with two homes ....

What's the big deal!
