Spoiling the grand-kids

Cindy and Anna
Our rain got stalled out yesterday and is still headed our way - let's see if they really make it here today. In the meantime, we've had some really great weather.
Cindy and I went to a chamber of commerce event last night where they had the current and previous three presidents of Tenn Tech were honored and they spoke. The current president retires this year. Pretty interesting - I was wondering if they've ever been together before in such an event and if it would ever happen again - probably not.

Well, here's proof - Cindy spoils the grand-kids. She even seems glad about it! Enough said.

Posing is hard work

I could have slept in a bit this morning - my eyelids just didn't want to open up. Oh well, all good things must end.

Paperwork this morning and meeting a new prospect this afternoon - an aluminum company - sounds interesting. Need to dig out the earplugs and safety glasses again.

We've a chance of rain the next few days - yesterday was so warm we walked outside after work. We had almost forgotten what the neighborhood looked like.

Who is that behind those Foster Grants?

A sunny day today and then rain for a few days - wear your sun-glasses while you can.

A paperwork day - maybe a quick trip to Monterey and Crossville. Let's see what God has in store for us this week.

No news - maybe today ....

Church in a few minutes ...

A cold morning here in Cookeville - below 30 degrees.

Off to church in a few minutes - Rachel sent us this photo yesterday of Noema peaking at her in the kitchen. I see the cabinet doors open behind her - I bet I know what she had been doing - I'd be hiding too!

Psalm 32:7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Summer time dreamin'

Kardia and Kaireia
Good afternoon - we left a bit earlier than usual and had breakfast out and ran a few errands. A nice morning.

Thursday we had a record high of 77 degrees and last night snow flurries were spotted around town. Quite a change - makes us wanting summer to arrive so we can play in the water again.

No big news - have a great day - I can hear that old wind howling outside.

A wet Friday??

Kardia and Darin
We had a great time at an American General Contractor's award banquet last night in Nashville. We won a Silver award for a project I did last year. My acceptance speech was unbelievable. (Be careful what you believe - we did win an award)

Our rain never came through last night and we are still under a wind/rain/storm warning today. Strange weather this year.

Hey, it's Friday once more. Another fast and crazy week.

We refinance the house today - 3.25% at 10 years - isn't that crazy. We used to think 8% was low.

Have a great day - love you all!

Record warm weather

Neidon and Kardia (and goat)
Good afternoon! I had to be in the office early so sorry no picture this morning. Hopefully this one makes up for it!!

I've been to Nolensville this morning, back to Monterey this afternoon and then To Nashville tonight! Woohoo - hang on.

We evidently passed our old record high of 74 for this date - we're in the high 70's right now. A cold front is heading in with thunderstorms, tornado watch and 40 degrees tonight. Enjoy the warm while it is here!

Thundering outside

Noema and her gramps
The window you see in this picture is black outside right now and we can see lightening in the near distance. I can hear the thunder rumbling even as I type this. The good-news - I'm inside all day working on a hard bid - so storm away!

I would be happier though holding one of the grand-kids. They make me smile.

Have a great day - pray you are all doing fine.

Rainy Tuesday

A great day yesterday - I got a ton of work done in the morning and then a wonderful client meeting in the afternoon in Murfreesboro - God is good.
I tend to go into most days worrying that I will accomplish all I need to and finishing the day wondering how I got so much done. Why do we (I) tend to worry so much? God, take my worry today - we trust you to make this day the way you want it to be. Thanks for going ahead of us - we love you so much!
PS Thanks for my family! They are truly a blessing.

It's snowing!

Lincoln and Anna
Not a good day to be out here in Cookeville - it starting snowing a couple of hours ago and the ground is pretty well covered. We're projected to get 3 to 4" - we'll see. Anyway, no more driving today for us. If I did go out, I wouldn't be smiling like these cute little ones.

Have a great week - I pray church went well - love you all!

Riding into the sunset

Well, it's Friday again as we ride off into the end of the week. Paperwork this morning and Crossville this afternoon - only 35 minutes away west of us up the mountain. A nice drive.

Have you had a good week? Audrey's birthday was yesterday - sounds like it was a good one - at least according to Facebook.

Well, get yore paperwork done fer a great weekend - woohoo!

Warm and rainy

Kleeman gang
A rainy low 50's morning - another warm day ahead - I'll take it!

For some reason, this picture makes me want to stand, put my hand on my heart and hum along to the star spangled banner. Go figure!

Yesterday was good for basketball - Tech won, Spurs won and Purdue won - life is good - ha!

Hope this finds you all okay - a busy but good day ahead for me - they always seem to fly by!

Window washing

Good morning - waking up to yodeling Bluegrass music - that will get you going. Bill Monroe is waking me up.

It's supposed to be a fine day today - my truck windows are messy from these past few weeks - I could use Neidon to wash my windows for me. Come on over!

Off to Madison, TN today for a few hours - a project I designed and sold last year is well under way and I've not been over to see it yet.

You all have a great day - hey, church is tonight!

Overcast Tuesday morning

Lincoln and Anna
Well, the freezing rain/snow missed us last night for the most part - it's cold out but should warm us today and a week ahead of low 50's every day. Winter has stepped back for another week.
Pray for Rachel as she is going through her sickness again - her babies tend to make her ill and she has 4 other little ones to care for too.

No big news here - wishing you all well on this new day.

Our little artist

Another chilly morning in the teens - a chance of snow and freezing rain again tonight and tomorrow early. I'm REALLY ready for spring now.

A new week - where in the world did that last one go? Well, let's make the most of this new one.

Here is grand-child #1 and #8 is on the way. Still hard to believe another one is on the way - somehow our love will include him too. (him until we know more). How can we share our love without it getting smaller with any of the kids or grand-kids?

Room at the inn?

Laura reading to Kaireia, Anna and Kardia
A chilly day in Tennessee - just home from church and ready for a roaring fireplace!
Well, exciting news - another grand-baby is on the way! The Kleemans called us a few nights ago to tell us the exciting news. My quiver is getting full!
Laura is going to need a bigger lap to hold more of the kids!
Have a blessed day - God is good.

I need a baby

Noema and Lincoln
I could us a baby fix right now - I confess I'm addicted - I love my grand-kids and love to play with them and am sure missing them now. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy this photo.

Snowing out and 22 degrees - well, winter has finally come. It snowed all the way back from Murfreesboro last night too. I'm freezing!!

Crazy hat Friday

Mid 20's this morning with a chance of rain/snow tonight and tomorrow - winter has returned.

Who's spoiling my grand-daughter?

Kardia, Dad & Aunt Martha
Good morning - high 20's out this morning - brrrr! Another cold day ahead.

Sorry no photo yesterday - had too be in the office early to final review a large bid that was going in at 8:30 am. A team of us stayed late the night before to get it mostly ready.

Another paperwork day - catching up is good! Have a blessed day.

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

It's freezing out!

Noema and great-grandma
A chilly 28 out this morning but supposed to hit 50 today - we'll see as they said that yesterday and it never made it. At least no snow - a dry day so far.

A hard bid due tomorrow morning, so I'll be working with a team of 8 to 10 folks today getting that ready as we pore over 400 or 500 bids that have already started coming in. I know how to have a fun time!!

Enjoy this picture of two gals in the Smoky Mountain area of Tennessee. One looks pretty wiggly!

And we're off ...

Back to the races - a new work week - what challenges lie ahead this week? I'm glad God is part of this - right?!

The usual paperwork, deadlines and client meetings. Life is good! It's nice to be busy.

Well, I'm off - love you all!

(Wish I looked as good as this guy!)

Will you read to me?

Anna and Lincoln
An overcast Sunday - we leave for church in a few minutes - looking forward to seeing friends and hearing about Christ.

Followed Spurs game on my computer last night - congrats to Tony Parker for becoming #1 Spurs player ever in total assists. Seems ironic - being awarded for helping others and allowing them to make the points. What if we lived like that?

Love you all - maybe today ...

Rainy Saturday

Cindy and I had breakfast at home this morning - we were eating and Cindy had me look down to the end of the table where Noema's chair sits and I was able to see little teeth marks on the wood top. She can come over and chew on my table any time she wants!

No big plans today - just a nice relaxing Saturday - enjoy!

Dreamin' of spring

Good morning - sorry no photo yesterday - I didn't see my shadow so the day just got off to a bad start.

Not really - had an early meeting and got off early. Hopefully this photo will make up for it. Makes me ready for both grand-kids and summertime.

It's Friday once more - the weeks just fly by us.

Already 40 degrees here and a high of 60 is projected - we had that yesterday and I actually took off my jacket over the lunch hour - woohoo!

Have a wonderful day!!

A rainy Wednesday morning

Kaireia and Kardia
Greetings - rain and overcast here - but at least it is in the 50's - another mild day ahead.

Happy Anniversary to Amos and Irene - I pray it is a great one!

Another coffee, bluegrass and rainy morning. God is good. Church tonight and a paperwork day at work.

No big news - have a blessed day - maybe today. Listening to An Uncloudy Day in bluegrass - now that is a picture of heaven.
