Merry Christmas!!

Noema
Good morning and Merry Christmas!

We're relaxing and watching Fox News' Christmas Special I recorded last night - pretty good. Just anxious for kids to get in tonight.

I'll have to put up with this little face for a whole week!

Power just went out second time this morning - grrr - thank goodness for battery backup on the computer! Have a wonderful day.

Let's read a book!

Grandma reading to Kardia, Neidon and Kaireia
Chilly this morning. A bit slow getting going - stayed up too late - because no work today!!

Breakfast, errands and back home again. Church tonight and family coming in tomorrow. Holidays are great.

LUKE 2:8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Party!!

Neidon
The grandkids are getting ready to come to Tennessee - I won't get into what that is comprised of, but it doesn't have to do with firearms.

Our last day of work this year - woohoo! I had an 11 hour day yesterday, and already have 40 hours in for the week so I'm ready.

The lights are up, the presents are wrapped and Cindy is cleaning like crazy. We must have company coming.

Have a great day - love you all.

Last workday of the week

Anna
Yesterday was a great day, I finally got a permit on a church addition in Madison that has taken 3.5 months to get through the city! We mobilize next week and break ground the 3rd of January - woohoo!

This is my last workday of the week. Tomorrow is a half-day at work and is mostly taken up by a office party. It will be interesting to see how that goes. They usually rent the high school gym or the Chamber of Commerce meeting room and have a huge breakfast and gift exchange - with over 100 employees we usually have about 250 or so in attendance.

With the down economy, they are going to do an open house at our office instead for field employees and staff to come through and wish each other Merry Christmas and hand out gifts - should prove interesting.

Well, off to work - have a great day.

Breakfast buddy is coming

Noema
Well, my breakfast buddy will be here Sunday. I hear she has started taking a few steps. She heard Lincoln was crawling and decided to step it up to the next level.

Pouring rain last night - not sure how much, but it seemed like it was all night long. A paperwork day today - I need to pretty much wrap everything up for the year as tomorrow has meetings all day and Friday is the office party and then VACATION!

Have a blessed day - enjoy!

Anna sez 'Go Spurs!"

Anna
Anna and her gramps are glad the NBA lock-out is over and we're anxious to watch pro basketball again. I'm glad we have something in common.

Paperwork this morning and meeting a new client in Mt. Juliet this afternoon - a factory that builds car seats - woohoo!

Have a great day - we're to get rain today and tomorrow. My yard lo9oks like it needs mowing again. I don't think they do that in TN in the winter.

Last work week of 2011

Lincoln
One more week and then - "I'm on vacation!"

A whole week off and babies all around me for most of that time. I'll have to straighten out the kids that the rest of you spoil all the time. A tough job but I'm up to it.

Off to Nashville this morning and hopefully back before too late. A good busy week ahead - it will fly by.

Be safe - I love you all!

Almost time for church

Noema
Greetings - almost church time as I hurriedly type this in. Looks cool out but supposedly warmer then yesterday. I don't think we got past mid 30's yesterday - it felt cold!

Cindy was working on the Christmas letter yesterday and I was thinking about what a great year we had - 2 new grand-babies, family reunions with parents who are still strong and healthy - what a blessing. And the older grand-kids are wonderful - what fun!

If God cared for us this past year, what great things must He have in our future. God is good.

Saturday, December 17, 2011

Brrrr ...

Noema
It is cold outside - yesterday the temperature dropped all day. It feels like winter again.

A nice relaxing day - some errands, SS lesson, a few inside to do items and just taking it easy.

Have a great Saturday and stay warm.

PS Saw a video of Lincoln crawling this week - watch out!

It's Friday (he says with a smile on his face)

Anna, Lincoln and Audrey
A good Friday morning to you - another week until the kids come. Overcast today and rain projected.

Off to Murfreesboro today - looking ahead to a spring project with a client. It's great to have work ahead of me.

We're coming into another weekend - enjoy!

< Don't these smiles make you smile too!!

A rainy day ahead - what's new?

Kaireia, Rachel, Noema, Neidon and Kardia
An overcast morning and rain projected all day. The good thing - it's been warmer this last week or more with all of this rain.

I finished the outside Christmas lights last night with Cindy's help and then off to church for the annual Christmas party. Lots of fun - good fun and great friends.

We still have some of this cough left - can't quite seem to shake it. We're ready to get completely well.

See you later - enjoy the day ahead!

Hump day

Kardia
Another fine morning to you all - going to hit 60 degrees today - of course rain the next few days, but sunshine today!

Paperwork this morning and Murfreesboro this afternoon. Not a bad day at all.

Our church has its Christmas party tonight which should be a lot of fun too.

Well, I'm off - have a great day - what surprises does God have in store for us today?

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Swinging into Tuesday

Lincoln
Our second day of rain - and it wasn't even on the forecast. At least a 'bit' warmer - when did 40 seem warm?

How is your week going? I got a couple of great leads yesterday plus last night meet with a prospect wanting to do a very large remodel - what a fun meeting.

Crossville today and lots of paperwork - other than that an average day - whatever 'average' is!

Blessings on this new day.

Monday, December 12, 2011

Hang on - a new week has started

Anna
Good morning on a brisk morning here on the Cumberland Plateau. I believe the weekends go by even faster than the weeks do. Our living nativity is over and onto the holidays.

I got part of the Christmas lights up outside and ran out of clips. Cindy has a tree up and stockings. Kids stuff is laid out everywhere to wrap and get ready for stockings. Wow - it looks like Christmas has hit the Adams house!

Have a wonderful week ... maybe today.

Sunday, December 11, 2011

Button up your overcoat ...

Anna
Baby, it's cold outside! Another cold morning with highs only in the 40's today.

We had a great time at the Tech BB game last night - they won by 1 point in overtime - whew, too close! We're in the second row - great season tickets - did I mention, we love basketball?

Cindy put up a small tree and like 50 zillion stockings yesterday. Where did all of those kids come from?

Have a great Sunday - God is good, all the time.

Saturday, December 10, 2011

I am blessed

Kaireia
Wow - another great day ahead. Last month I saw a lots of folks who decided to post something they were thankful for each day of Facebook. I saw lots of things listed and they were all great.

QUESTION: What are you most thankful for?

I think I'm most thankful for a God who delivered me from the world & it's method of doing things & showed us a way that we, along with our loved ones, could be with Him forever.

FFFFF Frdiay

Kardia
It's FFFrigid outside. Mid 20's - brrr!

Good morning - this week has flown by - how about yours? An easy day today and Cindy and I work at the church's live nativity this evening. All I can say is - bundle up!

A couple of weeks away until Christmas and then the kids come down the week after - can hardly wait!

Thursday, December 08, 2011

Super cold Thursday

Neidon
Low 20's this morning - another cold day. We got some snow yesterday but the ground was so wet it melted pretty quick.

No big news today - paperwork, a business luncheon, off to Crossville and then a Chamber of Commerce meeting this evening.

Hope your day goes well. Bundle up!

Wednesday, December 07, 2011

Snowing

Just started snowing here- not good.

Baby it's cold outside

Noema and Neidon
Officially, we've had our first snow, but the chances of our first snow accumulation are pretty high today. Woke up to 34 as the high - this should be an interesting weather day!

Paperwork and a few meetings today - church tonight - we're wrapping up Romans and the church live nativity this weekend.

Have a great day and stay warm and safe. ... maybe today ...

Tuesday, December 06, 2011

Those Adams kids

Lincoln and Anna
Wow - some loud thunder and bright lightening last night - I don't think I was even able to count between them for a bit last night. I thought my grass was done growing, but we've had enough rain and warm weather that it appears to need one more cutting - argggg!!

Another in-office day - paperwork and phone calls - a great way to get things done!

Monday, December 05, 2011

Work calls me

Lincoln
A rainy day ahead as we head back to work. The Cantata is over and life is back to normal - whatever that is.

No big events this week - same old stuff. So hang in there and get going!

Sunday, December 04, 2011

Get going sleepyheads!

Kardia, Kaireia and Neidon
Another fine day before the rain rolls in. The Cantata is tonight. Stop on by if you are in the area - we sound pretty good, if I don't mind saying so!

Looking at the picture, I was wondering if they got any sleep? Looks like a party waiting to happen.

Saturday, December 03, 2011

Dress Rehearsal

Noema
Dress rehearsal this morning for the church cantata. A bright sun out - looks to be another grand day.

This picture will make you smile if your day isn't going good! Have a blessed day.

A Frosty Friday

Lincoln And Audrey
Not quite as cold as yesterday but still chilly. Supposed to warm up nice today.

Off to Crossville today - meeting a client from New York about a project and back home again. A great week - God has been amazing this week.

I find it's easier to see God in my life when I'm watching for him. Have a great Friday.

Thursday, December 01, 2011

20 degrees outside - brrrr!!

Anna
A good cold morning to you all. Sorry no post yesterday - I was out the door before the time I typically even get out of bed. I had to be in Nashville by 9 am and back in Madison by 1 pm and barely made it home for church. Time flies when you are having fun!

The frost is hard this morning - looks like a winter wonderland. Let's see, how many days to spring?

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Lego lover

Neidon
Good morning! A brisk 30 degrees outside and 'wintry mix' warnings are posted - fortunately no precipitation at the moment or it would be a true mess out there.

Well, another Lego lover has been created - Neidon loves to build stuff with his Legos. I guess it is the equivalent to Lincoln Logs that I had as a kid. All you add is your imagination.

Have a great day - stay warm and dry and be careful on the roads.

Monday, November 28, 2011

Rain rain go away ...

Kardia
We've had rain since yesterday morning with nary a letup since it began. My neighbor is building an ark - maybe not a good sign? It's supposed to turn colder tonight with a high chance of snow tomorrow. It's already starting off at 40 degrees with not much warming up today.

Well, back to work - what a great long Thanksgiving weekend - I'm thankful for all of my family that I got to see! I'm even thankful for the ones I didn't see!!

Have a great week - I love you all!

Sunday, November 27, 2011

A rainy, rainy Sunday morning

Kaireia
Good morning - it's raining this morning as a cold front comes through today - a slight chance of snow tomorrow as we head into a brand new week. Hey, December rolls in this week - where did that come from?

The stores already have their decorations up for Christmas - it's that time of year ...

My folks are headed to the airport - Sandra sent me an email they left at 7 am her time, 6 am ours, to head back to catch their flight in Nashville - pray for a safe trip.

We had a great time seeing family and just enjoying a long weekend - it's going to be hard going back in to work tomorrow!

Saturday, November 26, 2011

Windy Saturday

Anna
A sunny and windy Saturday. A couple of nice days and then cooler weather the first of the week - even a slight chance of snow! Brrrr.

The drugs are beginning to work - we could both talk this morning and are actually coughing less. Maybe we're kicking this stuff out of our system - at least we hope so.

Today is putting up a few Christmas lights and some other misc. stuff. Just enjoying another day off!

Friday, November 25, 2011

Sunny Friday

Lincoln
We skipped Black Friday and moved on to Sunny Friday - the sun is out, it's a beautiful day out.

We had a great Thanksgiving with Sandra, Laura, Matt and Katie and my folks yesterday at Sandra's house. Great food and great fun.

The gang is coming over today for some more visiting and hanging out - it should be fun. I pray your Thanksgiving went well.

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Happy Thanksgiving

Noema
Wow - the holidays already!? We're off to Sandra's in a bit with a car full of pies. We'll drive over the river and through the woods and over the windiest roads you've ever seen. Woohoo!

Well, just posting this picture to remind you not to eat too much. I've always heard you could explode if you ate too much - this picture almost proves that theory to be true.

I love you all - thank you God for family. Thanks for the family with us now and thanks for the ability to have great memories of family no longer with us. :-)

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

It's Friday! (kind of)

Lincoln and Anna
A great day ahead - a client meeting this morning, off to Crossville to video a project for a client in Jerusalem and them paperwork this afternoon.

A long holiday weekend ahead - have a great day and a great Thanksgiving.

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Week's half over

Noema, Neidon and Kaireia
Good morning - I can talk! My voice is coming back and I'm feeling human again - woohoo! It is not fun being sick.

I like this photo - Noema has a look of apprehension or of just not wanting to be a part of whatever the other two are up to. Sorta like me with my two sisters growing up! (I'll hear from that one).

Unusually warm weather again today - high close to 70 and then a cold front in again tomorrow. No wonder we're sick!

Have a wonderful day - what are you thankful for this week?

Monday, November 21, 2011

Rainy Monday - the leaves are gone

Lincoln
Good morning - we went to the doctor yesterday and found we had sinus problems - either infected or close to it. We're both on medicine and hope to kick it in the next few days.

I do have to run up to Albany, KY this afternoon, but otherwise just a paperwork day. Hey, I've only got three workdays this week - this is almost like a Wednesday!

Have a great week and travel safe if you are going to see family!

Sunday, November 20, 2011

Sicky Sunday

Kardia and Noema
Yes, we are both home sick today. The local clinic doesn't open until noon - we'll be there.

Don't know when I last missed church - it's been a long while. Pray for both of us.

At least I can still enjoy my grand-kids via photos.

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Last time to mow?

Kaireia
Good morning! Off to breakfast, back to several errands - hopefully our last time to mow. We've had several hard frosts so it has probably stopped growing.

We're still feeling bad - coughing and sore throat - we're ready to get over this - pray we heal soon. I don't like being sick.

PS Cleopatra never looked this good!

Friday, November 18, 2011

21 degrees out - brrrr!

Rachel and Neidon
Good morning - well, rumor (and Facebook) sez Matt Monroe is back from Afghanistan! We've been praying for him for months and are so excited he has returned. Welcome Home Matt!!

Well, we're still sick - I need to work for a company with sick leave - this is getting old. We will get well though - hang tough.

Have a great day - hey, it's Friday!! Woohoo!!

Thursday, November 17, 2011

We've got Sunshine

Anna
A cold Cookeville morning to you. It's below freezing outside - but at least we have some sunshine.

I've got mostly local meetings today and a quick trip to Crossville this afternoon. I think it is to warm up to mid 40's today - a real warm one, huh?

Cindy and I are still battling colds - I think some of you are as well. I pray we all get better soon. I love you guys!!

... maybe today ...

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Rainy cold day

Lincoln
Good morning -  a dreary day here - cold and rainy. But only on the outside. On the inside ... I'm sick too! I think a cold - too much work to stay home though - oh well ...

We enjoyed the basketball game last night - they won which was even better. You are a winner too - so go out there and get going!! (Whatever) I love you - have a blessed day.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Have a Super day

Kardia, Neidon, Noema and Kaireia
Good morning - yesterday was the second hottest day ever for that date and today will be similar. My allergies don't like this. A front is stalled out over us - it's time to move on!

Got lots of paperwork done yesterday and today more of the same. TTU Basketball tonight - men's team starts - should be fun.

Check out these cute grandkids!!

Monday, November 14, 2011

We're back!

Anna Adams
We had a great time in Columbus spoiling babies - but now back to reality. Warmer weather for a few days - enjoy it while it lasts.

Have a great week - I love you all!

Thursday, November 10, 2011

It's Friday! At least for me.

Cindy in India
Good morning - a crazy but good day ahead. Tomorrow we leave to see our babies and we're excited! No pictures for a few days - but if you have a memory like an elephant you can recall photos over the past years to fill in until I return.

I have a photographic memory, but I've run out of film. Have a great day - only 34 out this morning and highs in the 40's - brrrr.

Wednesday, November 09, 2011

Hump day

Lincoln
Yes it is Wednesday, affectionately known as hump day as it it mid-week for most workers. However, as I am going to see grand-kids on Friday, tomorrow becomes my Friday, hence today is my Thursday. If you understand that, tell me as I just got confused.

Anyway, I'm ready to swing some young 'uns and have some fun spoiling babies.

This is our last nice day this week before cold weather rolls in again. Be safe!

Tuesday, November 08, 2011

My little punkins'

Lincoln and Anna
Good morning - brisk mornings, mild days and yes, basketball has begun - it is indeed fall. We have season tickets for Tennessee Tech basketball and the first game (exhibition) was last night - lots of fun! I love basketball - but not as much as my babies!!

It's Tuesday - enjoy! I'm off to Murfreesboro, Madison and Nashville today.

Monday, November 07, 2011

Back to work

Noema
Well, we're back into it this morning. Time to roll up our sleeves and get going again. Where in the world did that weekend go?

A short week and off to Ohio Friday morning for a long weekend to spoil, I mean see the grandkids. Have a great week!

Sunday, November 06, 2011

Vivi Vidi Visa - she came, she saw, she shopped

Noema
This is Noema helping her mom shopping yesterday. I need that kind of help!

I see sunshine this morning! It looks great outside. It's almost church time - let's see what message God has in store for us this morning.

Saturday, November 05, 2011

Yawn

Anna and Lincoln
My body is starting up a bit slow this morning - still cold outside so maybe these old bones are thawing out.

Charles and Leslie Wampler cane through a night ago on the way from Texas to D.C. so we had a great visit. We stayed up too late playing euchre - morning sure came quick!

Have a great Saturday - we're burning daylight!

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Dreary Thursday

All my grandkids
You might have to look close, but all of my grandkids are in this photo. Cindy took it in Ohio this week while visiting there. I even see Rachel back there as well.

A fine day today - some rain rolling in and high around 60 - pretty overcast right now. I think a quick Murfreesboro trip is in order.

Enjoy!

Wednesday, November 02, 2011

Great colors

A Tennessee Fall
Good morning - this week seems to be flying - I can't believe it is Wednesday already. Cindy returns this afternoon and evening church with friends. I hope your week is going great!
