A sunny monday morning

Anna
A good morning to you all. We're swinging into another week. A project a week of paperwork - I know how to have fun!

We could use some rain, but it sounds even worse in south Texas. If you are getting too much, please pass it around.

Well, I'm waking up to a bit of bluegrass. I hope the current song called "The Calm Before the Storm" isn't indicative of the week ahead.

A brand new day

Kaireia and Noema
A great day ahead weather wise. It's so nice to have the house open again for awhile. It's like we dropped back to Spring-time again even in late April.

I pray your church goes well today. I always enjoy seeing friends each week and catching up. I enjoy studying God's Word. I enjoy worshiping Him.

It looks like a bit of dress-up going on in this photo. I'm not sure which one is having the most fun!

Work free Saturday

Lincoln, Anna and Reed
We mowed the lawn yesterday afternoon, so no lawn work today - woohoo!

Our schedule is breakfast out, a few errands, work on my Sunday School lesson and mostly a relaxing Saturday. A nap would be nice ...

Enjoy your day - wish you could drop by for awhile.

Miles to go before I sleep

Kaireia
Greetings - a brand new day ahead. Are you excited? Are you already worrying? Give it over to God and let Him guide your steps and thoughts.

Off to Crossville today to look at a couple of projects, but otherwise an easy day. A bit of paperwork and some month end catching up to do.

Listening to a Ravi Zacharias podcast on itunes this morning. I recommend downloading his podcast or go to his website and checking him out. A great way to start off the day.

Rainy, rainy morning

Lincoln and Anna
Woke up to flashes of light around 6 am and by 6:30 we had lightning, thunder, rain and even some small hail. Three days of rain projected for the upper Cumberland.

A great day yesterday with a wonderful new prospect in Nashville.

Sad also in that one of our ministers resigned yesterday - we wish him well and pray whatever caused him to leave can be resolved. God's church takes work, huh?

It's Wacky Wednesday

Good morning - I like these pictures - do you notice Noema is everywhere - and usually trying to climb up something! One busy little girl.

Off to Madison today (NE of Nashville) and a new prospect on the other side of Nashville and then back home.

Cindy is off to the church to fold newsletters.

Supposedly our warm weather is back - already 50 this morning so a great start.

No news - I just wish everyone a great day - love you all.

Chilly again

Lincoln and Anna
Another night in the 30's. Yesterday only got to around 50 or so and it felt pretty chilly all day. Today a bit warmer until we're back in the 70's by Friday. The neighbor behind us mowed his lawn last night with a stocking cap on - brrrr.

A quiet paperwork day ahead of me - I was out half a day yesterday with a client so I need to catch up today.

May God bless your day!

Flower child

Kardia
A chilly morning today - close to freezing - my plants are taking this hard. We've had lots of frozen tips and browning outer leaves - not good.

Well, back to work- a great relaxing weekend but could have slept in a bit this morning. I thought I was supposed to need less sleep as I got older? So when does that kick in??

Enjoy my little flower girl - but don't worry she might get dirty outside - she has hand sanitizer on her.

Happy Birthday Amos!

Lincoln and Amos
An overcast Sunday morning - much cooler and humid out. We ran a few errands yesterday, but mostly worked on my SS lesson, watched some movies, read our books and enjoyed the laziness of being inside with nasty weather out.

Amos' birthday today - Happy Birthday! This is him with Lincoln last year.

Enjoy church and your church family!

Rain - woohoo!

Anna
Good thing we mowed the lawn last night as it rained overnight. I got home a little early from work and we were done by around 4:30 or so - nice to have that out of the way.

Breakfast out and a few errands - look out Saturday, here we come! Bring on my pink boots - I'm walking here!

Friday, April 20, 2012

Wow - Friday already?!

Neidon
Another quick week - they sure fly by.

I'm spending today with a residential client from out of state. They're moving here from Chicago and building a half million dollar home south of Sparta - about 30 miles south of here or so. They're nice folks so it should be a good but full day.

Mowing tonight and then the weekend - I'm ready ...

She's back

Lincoln
Cindy made it home after a couple of days in Ohio with the grand-kids. She was pretty worn out last night but sharing some great stories of her time with the grand-kids.

A paperwork morning, lunch with about 50 business professionals, I meet with a client this afternoon who needs help with their lease space design and hey ... maybe a stay-at-home and quiet evening - woohoo!

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Grrr ...

Noema
I just spend the last hour trying to get my Internet going - exhausting. maybe it will hold for awhile. Anyway, putting a picture up while it is working.

A cooler day today - high only about 65 this morning and then it dropped to around 58 to 60 all day and overcast - feels cold out. A touch of rain hasn't helped it feel any warmer. Just rain and get it over with!

Rockwood tomorrow (Wed) and Cindy comes home tomorrow too. Love you all - good-night!

No internet

No internet at home this morning and no time to figure out the problem.

Baby-sitting

Anna
Cindy is up in Ohio baby-sitting four of the grand-kids ... and loving it. I bet she'll be worn out by Wednesday though.

A chance of rain today - I've got a meeting this morning, off to Monterey for a 11 am Bldg Committee meeting and then on to Crossville this afternoon - this day will fly by.

Have a blessed week - hang in there.

New Van

Big Red
Here is a picture of Reed and Audrey's new van. Or maybe I should say Audrey's new van. Their new baby-mobile.

Well, Cindy is off to Ohio right after church today to babysit some Kleeman kids for a few days. Wish her luck!

High winds here later today and rain projected the next few days - we could use some.

Have a great day - He is risen!

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Ahhh... Saturday

Neidon
A good morning to you all - mid 50's with low 70's projected for our highs. A great day ahead!

Off to breakfast in a few minutes, a few errands and then back to mow this lawn - woohoo!

You've probably heard Reed and Audrey bought a used minivan yesterday - pictures on their Facebook account or I'll try to capture one for you and post here.

Well, I'm off - coffee awaits ...

Friday already ...

Kaireia - my little princess

Kairiea
Good morning - three days out of town has thrown off my schedule. At least I'm not standing for 10 hours showing off my 'wares'. Sitting is nice.

A second cold morning - near freezing again - not sure if we went below freezing or not but the grass is sure frost covered.

Paperwork today and maybe a quick trip to Crossville - let's see what the day holds.

Maybe today ...

II Peter 3:8-13
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

We're back!

Lincoln and Anna
A long but good trip. It's always good to be back home. Now to wrap up the week and try to get some work done!

Looks like we made it back in time for a freezing night - brrr!

1983 and 1984

Reed and Rachel 1983
Good morning - all our bags are packed, we're ready to go. Cordova bound and Cookeville in our rear-view mirror.

We mowed the yard yesterday and I think we can leave the home alone for a few days. I was just thinking this yard takes more care than a pet.

Looks like a cooler week for here and northward for a few days - even some freeze warnings out. I hope no plant problem - I knew the warm weather was too good to be true - ha!

You all have a great week - love you!

Easter Sunday

Neidon - and tallest 'man' in world
He is risen - He is risen indeed!

I'm a little befuddled - I can't find my white belt or shoes - what's Easter without all the trimmings? I bet it brings back memories, huh?

We leave tomorrow morning early, so no posts for a few days - or if we do - they may be sporadic as we're gone.

These cooler evenings have been nice - a pleasant change from the hotter weather.

Have a wonderful Easter! I love you all.

A cold Saturday ... brrr ...

Noema
Well, no frost like they predicted, but it still got into the 40's last night. Furnace is running this morning and hopefully we won't need the ac this afternoon.

We mowed last night and probably tomorrow as I'm out of town next Monday through Wednesday. The lawn seems to be consuming us - hopefully as we get warmer it slows down.

Better go - off to breakfast in a bit and a few errands. What are you up to today?

PS Have you ever dropped off to sleep when you were getting your photo taken?

What a difference a year makes

Audrey (Link), Anna and Reed
Good morning - lots of rain yesterday afternoon and evening - it moved our mowing to tonight.

Hey, it's Friday! Great weekend ahead. Next week off to Cordova, TN for a Church of God convention.

How's your week been? Anything exciting? Keep us posted - love you!

Looks like rain outside

Kaireia and Kardia
Greetings - a good day yesterday - looking forward to another great day.

Reed was baptized on this date in 1992 - wow, that's 20 years - I love you Reed!

I love these girls - Kardia always looks like she needs to tell you something important. Kaireia is the thinker. Sweet girls.

Remember your blessings today!

On the road

No picture- have to be in rockwood wed early early! Remembering my grandpa Parker who got an address in heaven in 1990.

Hey - look over here - woohoo!

Kaireia, Neidon, Kardia and Darin
Well, mowed the yard AGAIN ... I don't like the pattern we're setting with mowing every 4 days. Let's see if we can stretch it to Saturday now.
No big news - you probably saw Kentucky won last night in men's college bball. What happened to all of my teams?
Gotta go - work calls - love you!

Whoops!

I meant to say Beechwold CC,  not Kingsway- thanks Cindy for keeping me straight!

Dragging into Monday

Darin and Rachel at Kingsway CC
Good morning you all! A new week ahead - I already smell the paperwork with my super sniffer. I like flowers better.

Odds are high we mow tonight - that will teach me to fertilize so well.

I am sure proud of my kids - they are a blessing to me. Thank you God!

Sunday, April 01, 2012

partly sunny Sunday

Kardia, Neidon, Cindy and Anna
Off to church in a few minutes. No nursery today - just plain old church - ha! A great day ahead - weekends are great.

Just wish someone would read to me! This only happens when the grand-kids are around ...
