Back in the rat race

I'm about to get back in the car and face this crazy Cookeville traffic.

No, I don't mean busy, I mean - no turn signals, going 25 in a 45 mph speed zone, getting behind my usual tractor switching fields, ...

Life is good!

An overcast Saturday

I had to work this photo to make it light enough to see but liked it so much that I thought it was worth it.

Have a wonderful weekend - I love you all!

Tastes like Chicken

Wednesday already! Where does the weeks go?

A nice week here in Cookeville - we started off with a cool front and now highs in the 80's and evening around 60 degrees - very pleasant.

Zoo time

Audrey's sister Emily came over to Ohio to see the ultrasound too, so the kids got to know Claire!

I think they had a fun time at the zoo. Anna looks worn out. (It's a joke already!)

Face to face

Neidon loves tigers - this one looks might close!

A busy day - I have to be in Lebanon by 7:30 am, a meeting back in Cookeville at 11 am and two meetings this afternoon. I'm tired already!

Most important meal of the day

I think cereal manufacturers came up with that saying.

Anyway, Kardia sure likes her breakfast!

Have a great day - we're halfway there!

It's a new work week - get up, get going and come out swinging. It's going to be a great week.

Cindy is with the grandkids, and those folks who live with them, this week. We're going to find out if baby Adams is a boy or a girl!

Stop yore whinin'

You think the heat is bad - it could be this! I'll take the heat any day over freezing temperatures.

This is kind of like stepping on your toes so you don't notice the hurt on your arm.

Saturday once more

A good day to relax - after I mow the lawn and do some other errands and stuff.

My Grandma Parker always found time to fish.

Summer of 2005

June 1965

Grandma Parker from June of 1965. This picture comes close to how I remember her best. I was 11 years old and she was my fishing buddy - amongst other things.

35 years!

It's hard to believe we've been married 35 years today! Wow - my parents are younger in this photo than I am now!

Looking good

It's Sunday - paint your toe nails, clean out your ears, do everything necessary to look great for God.

One of my favorite Architect quotes by Mies Van Der Rohe is "God is in the details."

In fact, our God is indeed a God of details.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Chalkin'

We had a nice time with church friends last night - out to eat and then over to their house for dessert and visiting.

This is a lawn mowing day with a few errands thrown in and then the County Fair tonight. Looks like no rain today.

Friday - woo hoo!

There are some things I look forward to seeing even more than I look forward to seeing Friday!

Sandra is home - keep praying for here recovery. She was enjoying the nurses and hospital so much, she really didn't want to go home - that girl!!

Foggy day

I can barely see the house behind me today - pretty foggy out.

Pray for Sandra = recovering from surgery she had yesterday. Just got a text message from Laura - she is doing great and hopes to go home today!

More rain here last night and more expected today. Take your umbrella with you today.

Have a wonderful day!

More proof of the graduation

Actually these photos were before the graduation. Summer, Laura's friend, helped out a lot.

Picture proof

Yes - Laura did graduate!

Lee University

These are the 'before' photos. I'll put on more tomorrow to prove Laura graduated. The campus was beautiful - and so was the graduate.
