Edgar Evins State Park

Had a nice walk at the park - all right, it was long, hard and uphill both ways. But it was still pretty even thought the leaves are almost gone.

Grandma looks happy

Anna is growing up - taking steps, saying words, getting spoiled by Grandma ...

We had a freeze here this morning, leaves are falling big-time, high of about 60 yesterday.

Have a great weekend - God is good.

Fall! It feels more like winter!

Downright cold evenings and cool days are here - brrrr.

We've had Cindy's brother and his wife here the past few days - great visit! Sorry for the lack of posts.

This picture should make up for it - enjoy!

Trunk or treat

I wonder who Reed and Anna were dressed up to be?

Rain and thunder all night long - still feel tired, not good. Have a great week - pray Cindy gets home okay tonight.

I'm back

But Cindy is still spoiling grandkids in Ohio.

Last night was bath night, church is today - hope you are ready!

Good to be home again - God is good!

Driveway light posts

Do you like this for a driveway light? Maybe one on each side at the entry? (Actually saw them at Alvin York homestead)

Cindy flies out to Ohio today and back next week - grandkids look out!

I leave before dawn cracks tomorrow and back very late Saturday for a Christian Leadership Conference in Louisville, KY. I'll get to see Reed and Darin there too!

Pray for us as we all travel - no blog updates for a few days.

Ouch!

Not sure what happened - some kind of basement incident between Neidon and a piece of wood. We do know he now has 5 stitches and hopefully a cool guy scar.

The bandage looks great too - love you Neidon - get well quick!

One more year

This photo is actually from 2009 - just pretend it's from last week until I get a current one! I wonder if the theme was 'Princess' again?

A great week coming up - hopefully finalizing two contracts I've been pushing for several months. And then on Friday morning, off to a Leadership Conference in Louisville - and Reed and Darin will be there too! God is good.

My little punkin's

Okay - this photo is a year old - but you get the idea. It's Fall!!

Leaves are turning colors big time here and the evenings are cool - ahh ...

Big pause.

Okay, enough of that, when's summer coming back?

Alvin York trail

Greetings - like this bridge? It was on the path from the Alvin York house over to his burial plot.

A wonderful day here in Cookeville - miss you all.

Three years ago

I love watching my grand-kids grow. God is not only blessing them now, but what exciting things does he have in store for their lives?

Isn't God good!

Growing up

Kaireia has a birthday later this week. She is growing up - way too fast.

We also heard Anna just took her first steps. Grandkids are great!

Back to work

Okay - your office may not look quite like this. I do like Neidon's dress code though.

This was taken two years ago today - lots have changed.

Ten Ten Ten

Where were you a year ago today? What has changed in your life? Are you allowing God to move you forward? Be sure to go to church today and have a wonderful day.

Photo vault

I spent a few hours in the warehouse scrounging through old artifacts and came across this photo. Who in the world are those young kids?

Have a great weekend! Life is good.

Another week has flown by ...

A long week for the Monroe family - my nieces and nephews are amazing. You would have been proud of them at their dad's funeral yesterday.

Have a great day and try to get everything done so you can enjoy the weekend.

Another cold morning

Greetings - a whacky day - a funeral in Farragut this afternoon, probably drop by Sandra's house and then back home this evening.

We've had several mornings now with a hard frost evident. Hopefully one last time to mow the lawn and then it'll sleep for the winter.

Kissable

Good morning - could you do me a favor and pray for Sandra and her kids today. My thought today is that God is in charge and I'm going to let Him be God, although my feelings may say otherwise.

I just want my sister and nieces and nephews to know how great is my love for them and that God loves and cares for them even more. God knows what is going on - PTL - He is in control in all things.

A very cold Tuesday

Brrr - mid 30's outside this morning. I could use a grandchild sitting on my lap to warm up - and, of course, maybe read a book together.

Have a great day!

Monday, October 04, 2010

Happy Birthday Matt!

Pray for the Monroes as Larry passed away earlier this morning. I love you guys more than I can say.

Sunday, October 03, 2010

Hi folks, I'm standing

Anna doesn't need a hand to stand now. She's growing too fast - slow down!

It's cold outside! We had a great time at Shakespeare in the Park last night - blankets and hot chocolate sure helped though.

Have a wonderful week and enjoy church.

Hard work

I'd like to kiss the top of this little head. She looks might busy here.

A great day ahead - work on several church lessons, a couple of errands and Shakespeare in the Park tonight - better take some heavy blankets!

Have a great day - love you!

Biltmore blacksnith

I never thought I would live somewhere were anvil playing was an art form.

I start teaching a SS class this Sunday - we've been here over two years and I guess we checked out okay. They still have a few reservations about me - but who doesn't!
