A brand new week

Good morning - a great day at church today - good message and good friends - Sunday afternoons are nice too - find something great to watch on tv and take a nap ...

Cindy's knocking list is on the down hill slope. We covered another 45 or so homes yesterday in 5 to 6 hours or so. Wow - this place is so rural!

I hear a mower going - only 50 out but spring is definitely in the air. Have a great week!

Good morning - after breakfast and after it stops raining, we're going to ... politick! Woohoo! At least Cindy is meeting lots of folks - some amazing folks in this district.

Well, a great week but I think my desk piles grew this week instead of shrunk - oh well, there's always next week.

Friday - my brain is FRI-ed ...

Greetings - a rainy night last night and a bit warmer today - stuff is blooming out everywhere - almost into mowing season. I shouldn't have said that - it'll snow again.
Mostly paperwork today - last night we drove around and Cindy knocked on more doors - we figured about 5 minutes a house average - woohoo, that's long - and exhausting ...

Warmer today

Salutations - almost 40 this morning, a real heat wave.  It appears we have a few warmer days ahead - good politickin' weather.
Hopefully an in-office day - 5 or 6 bids to get out and several designs to sketch up - thank you God for work to do!
I've been putting on summer photos the past few days - two reasons (1) I can dream, can't I? and (2) I've not had recent photos and I'm trying to shame the kids. Probably neither will work.

12 degrees this morning

Greetings - it's starting off mighty cold this morning. I drove to Pall Mall yesterday and ran through some hard snow and it snowed hard when I was up there as well. Weird weather!

Greetings - I got home from Crossville yesterday and we drove neighborhoods - or should I say long streets with homes far between - this district is just downright rural - and Cindy knocked on a lot of doors. But hey, she's half way there!

Good afternoon - a great day at church and lunch with some church friends - back home for some work paperwork to get done and back to church by 4 for meeting.
Cindy knocked on tons of doors yesterday - politickin' is hard work - especially when your district is so wide and most homes are rural.

Greetings - a bit warmer today - I can hear mowers starting up - finally!

Our U.S. Congresswoman, Diane Black, came by the office yesterday and we had a few folks meet with her privately - a great meeting!

We've got breakfast out and lots of politickin' today - knocking on doors and kissin' babies - we're off!

Burgess Falls

 Good morning - close to 20 this morning but warming up to high 50's today. We enjoyed Senator Bob Corker speaking last night - interesting insights on Volkswagen and their not allowing the union to come in. Wow - does Corker remember names well - what a gift.

A full day ahead with a Teen Challenge banquet this evening - hopefully not too late.

It's allergy time again ...

Greetings - we've had lots of rain and it's a bit warmer so the plants and trees think spring is a coming. Of course, my allergies think the same thing - I welcomed Cindy back with a night of coughing and allergy symptoms - she just thought she was going to get rest after being with the kids.


I'm off to Crossville this morning and a couple of other meetings today - we're off and running!

Good rainy morning - listening to Darin singing Zacchaeus as I listen to one of his sermons as I post this morning. Okay, I'm awake now!
I could feel this front coming through yesterday - my allergies are killing me today - hate to think how I'd feel if I didn't take allergy medicine every day.

A pretty day here in Tennessee. Cindy's in Ohio so it's a bit quiet here - I'm behind on paperwork so this is giving me a chance to catch up some.
Still a bit chilly today, but it's beginning to warm up enough for us to enjoy the outdoors again - it does exist!

Nice to stay in town

Greetings - I enjoyed the Wacker site visit yesterday - but only problem is it's 2 hours away and a 1 hour time change - always exhausting and makes me appreciate being in the office.
We enjoyed the Putnam County Republican party meeting last night - amazing how many folks we recognize or know about - it's exciting to see so many conservatives running this year.

I'm back!

Greetings - I had a great leadership retreat and I'm back to the real world. You never get much sleep at those things so I was a bit tired in church this morning- maybe an afternoon nap will help!

I'm getting ready to work on Cindy's Facebook page for County Commissioner and I'm listening to an album in the "Pickin' On" series - they take Country, Rock, Contemporary music, etc. and turn it into Bluegrass music - very enjoyable. "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Light My Fire" in bluegrass style are  not quite what you'd expect.

Well,  another chance of snow tonight, but right now it's in the high 60's - the warmest we've seen for awhile - enjoy it while you can!
