New babies

I'm holding Asher and Cindy has Rhiza in this photo. Now ask me how many times I called the grand-kids the wrong name! Talk about going through the alphabet!

A quiet day today - catch-up on paperwork, run down to Sparta to photo as house and just general stuff to do for weekend.

Have a great Friday!

Reading with cousins

Uncle Reed reading a book to some of the kids at Thanksgiving - they sure love to be read to!

Another bid due today at work and maybe a trip down to Sparta - I've actually got a free night at home tonight - woohoo!!

Wednesday already? What happened!

Good morning! Got home around 9 pm last night - I sure could have slept in a bit. Oh well, paperwork calls me to bigger and better things.

Anna and Lincoln are showing me a sheep from their toy nativity set in this photo. I think I got handed every animal and every person to 'enjoy'.

Have a wonderful day.

Watching snow fall ...

Good morning - still trying to get back in a routine when I'm not having my normal schedule! Paperwork this morning and off to Somerset, KY this afternoon - back late around 9 pm or so.

The girls were watching snow flurries one morning - they told me not enough for snow angels yet. It was in the 30's most of the time we were there - the high that is.

Gotta go - love you all!

We're back ...

Good morning - we had great times with the kids, but it was sure nice to sleep in our own beds again. Much colder up there with flurries one day and heavy coat weather every day - I'm just not ready for that yet.

No news - back to work - catching up on all of the emails I got when I was off - I actually have an 8:30am staff meeting to start off the week,  a bid due this morning and then off to Columbia, TN to meet with a client this afternoon - a 2 hour drive each way.

Have a great week - I'm still thankful! You can be that even when it is not Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving

To all of our family and friends- a very happy and relaxing Thanksgiving. As Kaireia told me this morning, she is most thankful for family and Jesus' death on the cross. Me too!

He's here - first photos

Asher was born last night at 9:07 pm - 8 lb 4 oz, 19.5 inches, dark hair and grey-blue eyes - so far.

He's pretty handsome don't you think!

I get to see him this week - woohoo!

Someone is already spoiling him!!

Some pretty girls

Good morning - enjoyed watching Tech beat Rice in girl's basketball last night. A close game though.

Church in a few minutes but nothing big going on today. I leave after work Tuesday to head north to enjoy the gang for a few days.

I see a couple of girls that needs a grandpa to love on them. Thank you God for children and grand-children!

Sunny Saturday in Cookeville

Good morning - just remembered I hadn't put a photo up yet so here goes!

A nice sunny day here - need to work on some photos, a few to-dos today and Tech basketball tonight.

Getting ready to spoil some babies! I can hardly wait.

Have a blessed day.

No drive Friday

Yesterday I went to Crossville - today's 'no drive' Friday - I'm staying in & catching up paperwork - woohoo! (Remember to click on any picture to see larger - easier & better for printing too if desired.) Did you like the panoramic of the basketball game from last night - a new phone camera feature - enjoy!

Enjoying Tech basketball

I love basketball!

Music Man

Good morning - we're actually in the 30's this morning - a warm spell!

I had a great time at the church's annual Thanksgiving banquet. Sorry Cindy had to miss it - lots of good food and great fun.

Another future musician here - maybe he'll take after his Aunt Rachel.

Have a blessed day - only 4 years to go ...

Quiet on the home front

Rhiza and Noema
It sure is quiet here. No wife, kids or grand-kids (echo, echo) - thank goodness for electric blankets.

Our church has their Thanksgiving banquet tonight - should be lots of fun - I've got Cindy's corn recipe to make - the recipe!

You all have a great - and warm - day!

Future drummer

You gotta start somewhere. No telling where this could lead.

A chilly day here - ready for Spring - ha!

No news - a busy day ahead and Tech basketball tonight - a great time of year for basketball fans.

Deja Vu all over again

A scene similar to this is about to happen - Asher will be here in the next few days and his family will love all over him.

Cindy got to Columbus safe yesterday and I got back from Mt. Juliet around 5 or so - a long day for all.

Rain out today - it's been coming down hard for several hours here - tree leaves are getting knocked to the ground - trees are taking on that winter look.

Hopefully an in-house paperwork day - you all be safe!

Ohio bound

Good morning! Cindy heads off to Ohio to see the grand-kids after church and I head out to Mt. Juliet to meet with a church prospect - why do church clients always like Sunday meetings?

As usual, I'm one of the last to spoil the babies - still fun though! Pray Cindy's trip and visit goes well - Asher is ready to come see his grand-parents! I go up Thanksgiving.

Have a great time at church and a great week - I love you all!

Super Sunny Saturday

Good morning - a beautiful day outside - sunshine, warm breeze and just downright nice.

We've had breakfast out, ran a few errands and now home again - jiggity, jig.

Cindy takes off tomorrow to Ohio and trusts me alone again - I guess not much choice! You all have a great Saturday.

Send pictures

Well, I'm about to run out of photos - my kids (hint, hint) have not sent me any pictures this entire year (hint, hint) and the only ones I have are the ones Cindy and I have taken (hint, hint).

Mid 20's this morning and down-right brisk out. Heavy frost on the ground again - hopefully the grass has stopped for the year.

Cindy is packed and waiting to hear the word from the kids to head north. Any day now - we're ready for Asher.

Show time

Good morning! Another great day ahead - paperwork, lunch with about 45 small business owners and more paperwork. Hopefully the truck is done today - momma is ready to get me out of her van.

Pray for Audrey as she has started labor - a bit early - we'll see if it continues - Cindy may be in Ohio sooner than she thought.

Black Wednesday

You don't want to know my thoughts about the election this morning - clearly I'm disappointed.

We're starting off in the 40's this morning, a bit warmer than yesterday. It feels like winter now with dark, gloomy days, rain and cold weather. When is Spring?

Well, not sure what God has in mind, but I'm more disappointed with voters more than anything. Has our nation really gone that far to the left? I fear for our unborn as well as our children's future.

Thank goodness I'm not of this world!!

Are the 30's here to stay?

Another morning in the 30's - brrr!

Last night we went to the first Tech basketball game of the season - lots of fun, but got home late. It was already dark when I left work to go home.

This morning down to Sparta, back to Cookeville for lunch with friends and then off to Lebanon to meet a new church prospect.

Vote, Vote, Vote!!

Back to work

It's sunny in the morning again - thanks time change. But hey, it will be pitch black when I get off work now. Time change is sort of liking cutting the end off a rope and tying it to the other end.

Taking my car into the body shop this morning from the deer incident of a few weeks ago. Also giving blood today and lots of paperwork - today will fly by.

Keep praying for Caleb - looks like he needs a heart transplant. We always wish we could carry the burdens of our children.

Have a great week.

Morning has broken

Did you remember the time change?

Had a message on my phone when I turned it on this morning - my folks are back from their cruise and in Miami ready to disembark.

Remember Caleb who I asked you to pray for? His condition has worsened. Click HERE to find out more.

Off to church soon - love you all!

Super duper Saturday

We've already had breakfast out and errands - next up, mowing the lawn and then a field trip.

Have a great Saturday!

Friday, November 02, 2012

Woohoo for Friday

Yes, it is indeed Friday! Chilly out but above freezing - a great day ahead. Leaves are falling and a lot of trees have already turned colors so it is looking more winterish every day.
A bid request came in last night from a client and they want a price today - you know what my day will be like! Somewhere I need to squeeze in the paperwork that I was going to do today anyway - oh well.
Have a great day!  Hey, aren't my babies looking old?! The years sure fly by.

Kickin' off new month in the 20's

Brrrr - dark outside and freezing weather - it was hard to pry my fingers off of the covers and get up this morning. Getting out of the hot shower was almost as bad.

Meetings this morning, business luncheon and Crossville this afternoon. Oh yes, an elder call with a member tonight. A great day ahead.

Stay warm!
