Now the week is almost over!

Heading down toward Chattanooga this afternoon. Little Laura Monroe thinks she is all grown up and is graduating from college. You have to watch those crazy red-heads.

Have a great weekend - we'll be back late Saturday. (Will it still be raining?)

Don't relax yet

It's Thursday - a lot of work week to go - hang in there.

Of course, it is always okay to take a moment to read with a friend.

Sword fight

Rain, rain and rain here - where is that old sun?

Just saw the stat that this is Cookeville's wettest July since they started keeping records in 1914. Yesterday we got almost 3" alone.

Wish we could send some to South Texas!!

Be careful

Anyone can ride a horse, but how many skunk riders do you know?

Have a blessed day!

Play well together

A new work week - I already have the week pretty well booked up - life is busy!

I pray your week goes well - enjoy your family!

Church in an hour!

Put flowers in your hair and get to looking sharp for church!

We woke up earlier to one of those storms where the lightning and thunder weren't separated by the seconds you are supposed to count off.

(And more rain - over 40" year to date)

She's back ...

Cindy made it back from Ohio yesterday and we had a fun time at Amanda's surprise birthday party. Matt sure surprised her! Got to see Sandra and experience Scotland (whatever) and had a grand time. Life is good!!

This week was a blur

Too much going on this week and my organizer was with the grandkids. She returns today.

All superheroes have a knack of moving when photographed so their facial features are a blur in any photo you might take of them. Their true identities can remain a secret that way.

This photo is the closest we'll ever come to Spiderman's real identity. (Does he ride a girl's tricycle in the basement of his house?)

Those youngsters

The kids are having a great time - I don't see their grandma doing this with them though! Rain yesterday, last night and some predicted for today. Only about 80 degrees every day this week for the high. Feels like a south Texas late fall.

Spiderman and friend

Only a few close friends know his true identity. That makes his friendships even sweeter.

Have a great Wednesday - I'm off early this morning to Knoxville with a colleague, coming back thru Crossville and a few more meetings there, and then a final meeting with a church in Sparta this evening. A great action-packed day!

A cool Tuesday morning

Greetings - it is always great to watch TV with a friend.

My love and prayers go out to the Wrana family today. Carol's mom Betty passed away last night. Betty was a great lady, a wonderful euchre player, a good friend, a loving Christian and we'll miss you Betty.

But we do not mourn as those who have no hope!

Set yourself apart

A new week - I've got some major tasks to accomplish this week - Cindy is in Ohio with the kids so it's a good week to get a lot done.

Here's one of those businesses that might not make it anywhere in the world. I wonder if these hemlines change with the recession?

Church day

Have a wonderful Sunday - enjoy church - that means the people and the worship, not the building.

Although your building can be nice too!

(I've been told this is the chapel at the Edinburgh Castle.)

63 degrees outside

I feel a wee bit of the Scottish cold in my bones my laddie. A tad cold here for July. A stroll across the heather in my kilt will warm up ye old bones.

Interesting homes

Those Scottish dudes had interesting homes. My home looks pretty nice all of a sudden.

My summer home

They found this wee little home in Scotland - a nice little starter home for a duke or earl.

A nice little shower here last night and a lighting show beforehand as we were walking earlier in the evening.

Scotland

I have a LARGE number of Scotland photos from Sandra's and mom and dad's recent trip to Scotland. I have no idea where any of these exactly are - but enjoy! I'll be picking out my favorites - sorry, you should have tagged what YOU liked!

P.S. (A little bird told me 'Glasgow' in Scotland)

Draw in the lines ...

A new work week - lots going on this week - it'll be Friday before we know it - remember to take time to draw outside the lines.

Thanks mom!

Imagine what our moms have done for us and to help us - most of it we will probably never know. We love you mom!

PS Nice colors Rach!

Rainy weekend

We're supposed to have rain the next three days - we'll see - just glad the yard is mowed and we only have inside projects this weekend.

Friday once more

Wow - what a quick week! I have miles to go before I sleep so better get going. Have a great day and enjoy your weekend!

Thursday, July 09, 2009

Woohoo

Summer is great - the days are just packed!

Have a great day and enjoy the moments you've been given.

Playhouse fun

Have a great day - sunshine and mid 90's here in Cookeville. It dried out enough to mow the lawn last night. Yay sunshine.

Klondike Elementary

We even went by the location of my old elementary school in Lafayette - I suspect these aren't the same buildings.
Where's my museum?

Fort Ouiatenon

A rainy weekend in Lafayette, but we still got to see some sites. There were some things I hadn't seen since the early 1960's.

Thursday - the end of my work week

One last work day and off to Indiana for a long weekend with family. A great time to think back over the week and prepare for a new one. I won't be posting for a few days but you can look back over the photos from previous days - enjoy!

High in the sky

Another pretty day in Cookeville. The days have been in the low 80's this week and the evenings around 60 degrees. A break until we hit hot weather again.

Off to Nashville today and back home again this afternoon. A nice little drive. I pray you have a wonderful day as well.
