Why do kids love stairs so much? Our kids always wanted us to buy a house with stairs.Maybe there is an architectural design theory there? Homes for adults are centered around the kitchen and family room - everyone gathers there. Homes for children are centered around the stairs. Maybe build bathrooms off of the landings, wider stairs for seats, .....

Trust an architect to think about how to design stairs for kids. That is a true observation, though. Why do kids have such an obsession with stairs?
